STEP 1 1. CompletetheRequestforaSustainableEffluentApplicationAreaformandsubmititto Council(Note:thisformmustbecompletedbythepropertyowner,feesinaccordance withCouncilsfeesandchargesshallbepaidatthetimeoflodgement)

• Youarerequiredtocompleteallpartsoftherequestform

• Youarerequiredtoattachacopyofthefloorplanfortheproposed/existing dwellingthatthesystemistoservice,includinganyadditionalconnections (e.g.atoiletwithinashedexternaltothedwelling).

2. Councilwillthensupplyyouinwritingwithdetailsregardingthesustainableeffluent applicationarearequiredforyourpremisesbasedontheinformationthathas beensuppliedtoCouncil.

• TheareaprovidedbyCouncilwillincludethesustainableeffluentapplication area(tobeinstalled)andareserveareawhichshallbeanadditionalareaset asideforfutureuse(thisareadoesnotneedtobeinstalled)

STEP 2CompletetheApplicationforApprovaltoInstall/Construct/AlteraSewageManagementSystemformandsubmitittoCouncil.Includedwithyourapplicationmustbeallinformationasdetailedonthereversesideoftheapplicationform.YouwillberequiredatthisstagetopaytheappropriatefeesinaccordancewithCouncilsFeesandCharges.

ASSESSMENT OF YOUR APPLICATION1. Councilwillassessyourapplicationandwilleither: • Approveyourapplication;or, • Requestadditionalinformationtosupportyourapplication;or, • Refuseyourapplication.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY ONCE YOUR APPLICATION HAS BEEN APPROVED 1. Astheownerand/orapplicantfortheapprovedsystemitisimportanttoread yourconsentandensurethatyouunderstandtheconditionsofyourapproval.

2. Astheownerand/orapplicantyouareresponsibleforensuringthatall conditionsofconsentarecompliedwith.Thisincludesensuringthatthe appropriateinspectionsarearrangedduringtheinstallationprocess(as detailedinyourconditionsofconsent)
