Background information
The beautiful State Historical Building opened in 1987, and encompasses three floors of exhibits.
Located at 600 E. Locust Street in the East Village of downtown Des Moines
The museum offers free admission and is open Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday, Noon to 4:30 p.m.
Café Barattas located on the 3rd floor.
