• Data comes in many different forms.

• It could be all stored in the same way but it wouldn’t be very useful.

• This is why we have Data Types.

Task 1

Open the “What are Data Types”PowerPoint from the shared area.

Task 2

• Either create a mind map / spider diagram or traditional plain old notes in your book about each data type.

• You must include the name of the data type, a description and an example.

• Extension: find out WHY each data type is needed.

Task 3

• Complete the worksheet you have been given.

• This will be completed for homework if you don’t finish it during the lesson.
