Hockey - For hockey we played fun games like side to side, dribbling and tackling. We also played fly
and poison ball. I wonder what sport it will be next?
Drama – In drama we have been doing an act where we are on a boat and it is wavy and everyone is
falling over. Then it stops and goes back to normal. I will miss drama. By Lucas
Finders Keepers – Over the past few weeks we have been reading a book called Finders Keepers by
Emily Rodda. In summary it’s about a young boy going on a game show to win some prizes. He wants
to win a computer but he does not win it. He wins a book about birds, a little locket and a small
merry go round. He gives them to his family. We have not read the next chapter but I think they give
him the computer. I have been enjoying this novel a lot. Connor
Cross Country – Last Monday the whole school went to Moonbi for the small schools cross country.
We ran from kindergarten to year 6. In year 1, Aidan was coming first but then he went the wrong
way and another kid followed him.
The next Thursday Connor, Rory and I went to another cross country but this one felt like 5 kilome-
tres instead. When we ran, none of us came close to the top five, but we tried our best. Cooper B
Writing – In English we wrote about what we did on our week end. This is mine.
I made jellies on my weekend. I ate them. They were yummy. I brought some to school. By Bellatrix
NAIDOC week The theme for NAIDOC week is heal country. That means to take care of our land, our
waters and our sacred sites and heritage which we will be celebrating during the last week of term.
Cooper F
Drama – It was the last day of drama. Have you heard about it? No! What? Okay, I will tell you
then… We have been doing drama every Monday this term. We have done lots of fun drama activi-
ties like being animals, scare crows and a lot of other characters. I loved our drama classes and will
miss it. Sasha
Canberra Excursion - On the 17th of May, Rory and I went to Canberra with 8 different schools. They
were Currabubula, Duri, Tintinhull, Attunga, Nundle, Woolomin, Moonbi and Dungowan. It was so
much fun. I met all the Duri girls and became friends with them and some Tintinhull girls and boys. In
Canberra, it was cold and windy and we mainly wore tracksuits and jumpers because it was so cold,
most of the time. We went to Telstra Tower. It was so much fun and the tower was really tall. I had
so many friends by the end of the week. By Abby
