Spring Lesson Plan

•Day 1: Read “A Seed Is Sleepy” then create a paper garden.

•Day 2: Plant Flowers.

•Day 3: Read “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” then children will role play the stages in the book.

•Day 4: Read “ What Makes A Rainbow?” Discuss Spring weather. Make a Rolling Rainbow.

•Day 5: Discuss nature during springtime. Butterfly Match. Nature Searching.

Resources• Day 1: Book, Paper, Scissors, Glue, Easter grass, Pipe Cleaners, Muffin Liners, Crayons.

•Day 2:Gardening gloves, flowers, soil, and shovel.

•Day 3:The Very Hungry Caterpillar book •Day 4: What Makes a Rainbow book. Clear plastic soda bottles, colorful mosaic tiles, and tape.

•Day 5:Cut outs of Butterflies and crayons.
