SETTINGUPYOURHCCZOOMPERSONALMEETINGROOM

A. RequestaZoomAccountfromtheHighlandITdepartmentbyemailingtherequestto:helpdesk@highlandcc.edu

B. YouwillreceiveaZoomaccountinvitationemailwithin1-2daysthatlookslikethis(seepicturebelow).Clickonthe“Clickheretoactiveyouraccount”link.

C. Onthe“WelcometoZoom”page,enteryournameandcreateyourZoomAccountpassword(seescreenshotbelow).YourloginusernamewillalwaysbeyourHighlandEmailaccountaddress.

D. OnceyouhavefinishedloggingintoyournewZoomaccount,gototheProfiletaband

customizeyourpersonalmeetinglinkby:(Step1)clickingthe“Customize”linkontherighthandside,then(Step2)enteringthecustomvideoconferencinglinkyouwouldliketouse,and(Step3)clickingthesavebutton.(Seescreenshotsbelow)

E. Nextgotothe“Meetings”tabonthelefthandside,thenselectthe“PersonalMeeting

Room”tabinthemiddleonthetopand(Step4)clickonthe“EditthisMeeting”buttononthebottomrighthandside.

F. Then(Step5)selectthe“Enablejoinbeforehost”optionand(Step6)clickthe“Save”

button.

G. Nowthatyourcustomizedmeetingwebaddresshasbeencreatedandthemeeting

settingshavebeenadjusted.Startyourmeetingsothatyoucanfreelyconnecttoitatanytimeby(Step7)clickingthe“StartThisMeeting”buttonatthebottomright.

H. Whenyouclickthe“StartthisMeeting”link,Zoomwilllaunchthemeetinginthe

Zoomapp.IfyouhavealreadyinstalledtheZoomapp,youwillseean“OpenLink”button(asshowninthescreenshotbelow).IfyouhavenotpreviouslyinstalledtheZoomapponyourcomputer,youwillbeaskedtodownloadanditinstallitrightaway.OnceitisinstalleditwillopentheZoomvideomeetingintheZoomapp.

I. Then,inordertoexitthemeetingbutleaveitrunningsoyoucanconnectusingyour

ZoomPersonalMeetingRoominthefuture,firstclickthe“EndMeeting”buttonandthenselectthe“LeaveMeeting”button(asshownbelow).

YouarenowreadytoconnectthroughZoomvideoconferencingusingZoomPersonalMeetingRoom.JustsendyourcustomizedZoomPersonalMeetingRoomaddresstoanyoneyouwouldliketoconnectwithandtheywillbeabletoconnectusinganywebbrowser.YourZoomPersonalMeetingRoomwebaddresswillbeinthisformat(withyourcustomizednameattheend):https://highlandcc.zoom.us/my/testuser
