What is Community Service?

• When someone performs an action which benefits his or her community, it is known as community service. Community service is a vital part of many small communities. Getting involved in your community makes it healthier and livelier, and numerous organizations around the world support community service activities.

Benefits of doing Community Service

• Makes you more caring and responsible• Enhances civic engagement attitudes, skills

and behaviors• Higher academic achievement and interest in

furthering their education.• Increases sense of self-efficacy

Enjoyment

• Sometimes community service was a lot of work, but I loved doing the car wash although it was really hot outside!
