r. Resolution for Starfall Education at P. J. Hill School
BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the Resolution for Starfall Education at P. J. Hill School for the 2012-2013 school year at no cost to the Board. Utilizing the District curricula and textbooks, teachers will work to develop activities that integrate the District’s materials as well as Starfall Education in preparing kindergarteners for their continued education. Additional training will also be given to teachers to improve instruction in Literacy and Numeracy.
s. Resolution for Academic Support Services and Resources Provided by The Lawrenceville School to P. J. Hill School BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the Resolution for Academic Support Services and Resources Provided by The Lawrenceville School to P. J. Hill School for the 2012-2013 school year at no cost to the Board. Each week, six students from The Lawrenceville School, in Grades 9-12, will provide tutoring, academic support, enrichment, homework support, 100 Book Challenge support and other academic assistance to children in Grades 2-4.

Proposal for Introduction to Weaving at Robbins School BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the Proposal for Introduction to Weaving at Robbins School on October 11, 2012 at no cost to the Board. The program will provide up to 300 students with exposure to cultural ideals oriented toward interdependent values, including extended families working together as a unit and passing down traditions.

Proposal for AM/PM Supervision at Dunn Middle School BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the Proposal for AM/PM Supervision at Dunn Middle School for the 2012-2013 school year at a cost not to exceed $15,120.00. The program will provide approximately 500 students in Grades 5-8 with supervision and a safe environment before and after the regular school day. (Account Code: 15-130-100-101-0009-00-10)

BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the Resolution and Proposal for Tomorrow’s Teachers at TCHS Main for the 2012-2013 school year at a cost not to exceed $430.00 (cost of transportation to and from activities to be determined). e. Resolution for Maximum Travel Expenditure
BE IT RESOLVED: Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:11-12, in each pre-budget year, the Trenton Board of Education is required to establish a maximum travel expenditure amount for the budget year which may not be exceeded; and be it further RESOLVED: The Board of Education has determined that the maximum travel expenditure amount includes all travel that is supported by State and local funds; and be it further RESOLVED: The Board of Education has elected to exclude travel expenditures supported by federal funds, which is $60,000, from the maximum travel expenditure amount; therefore BE IT RESOLVED: That the Trenton Board of Education hereby establishes the maximum travel expenditure amount for the 2012-2013 school year as $100,000.00 from the General Fund.
f. Joint Transportation Agreement with Hamilton Township Board of Education
BE IT RESOLVED: that the Trenton Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the 2012-2013 Contractual Agreement between Hamilton Township Board of Education and the Trenton Board of Education for the provision of transportation services for choice students at a per annum cost of $775.00. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the Board President and Board Secretary are authorized and directed to execute said jointure on behalf of the Trenton Board of Education. BE IT RESOLVED: that the Trenton Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the Resolution to Correct Tuition Amount for Titusville Academy from the August 2012 agenda. The dollar amount should have been $767,579.92 instead of $722,428.16. The difference is $45,151.76 charged to Funding Source: 11-000-100-566-0000-00-84. j. Resolution for Kilmer School to Accept a Donation from Love Thy Neighbor, LLC

Rubino Alternative High School.
1. The Interim Alternative Education Program will provide 45 days of instruction for five
(5) program placements at a tuition fee of $17,100.00 per placement. Student program placement means a placement for 180 school days. 20 students for 45 days equal 5 program placements. Amount not to exceed $84.250.00
2. The Alternative High School Program will provide placement for 125 classified and non-

Instruction in the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol will be provided to 210 staff members at Grades 6-12. The target population is General Ed and Bilingual Teachers, with training sessions conducted in Math, Science, Social Studies and World Languages. ee. Approval of (Aramark) Food Services Management Contract for 2012-2013 School Year
RESOLVED, that the Board President and Business Administrator are authorized and are directed to execute said resolution on behalf of the Trenton Board of Education.

Guarantees as per the contract section;
H. MANAGEMENT FEE(S)/GUARANTEES
1) Payment to the FSMC:
a. The Local Education Agency shall reimburse ARAMARK for all Reimbursable Items (as defined in Article II, Section B.11). In addition, LEA shall pay FSMC an allowance for its General and Administrative Expense of $0.1030 per meal served under the National School Lunch, Breakfast and After School Snacks Programs and for each Meal Equivalent served.
b. Local Education Agency shall pay to ARAMARK a management fee of $0.0258 per meal served under the National School Lunch, Breakfast and After School Snacks Programs, and for each Meal Equivalent served (the “Management Fee”).
c. The total of such Reimbursable Items, the allowance for ARAMARK’S General and
Administrative Expense, and the Management Fee shall be referred to as “Local Education Agency’s Financial Obligation”. “General and Administrative Expense” means ARAMARK’S allowance for the financial reporting, legal, tax and audit services, and management oversight provided to client locations by ARAMARK at the regional and corporate levels.
d. The number of National School Lunch, School Breakfast, and After School Snack Program
meals served to children shall be determined by actual count. A “Meal Equivalent” provided by ARAMARK is determined by dividing the total of cash receipts, other than from sales of National School Lunch Program meals, School Breakfast Program meals, After School Snack Program meals, or Cash Equivalents, by the Equivalency Factor. The Equivalency Factor used to determine the number of Meal Equivalents served by ARAMARK shall be the amount of $1.00.
e. If Local Education Agency requires ARAMARK to provide food service workers for events
outside of the Food Service Program, the parties shall mutually agree on the charges for such service. The parties agree that such fees shall not be included in the food service budget for purposes of calculating any amounts owed by ARAMARK under the financial guarantee set forth in Section J.2.

2) Financial Guarantee (Break Even):
a. Projected Break-Even Budget: ARAMARK ESTIMATES THAT Local Education Agency’s
Total Food Service Costs for the Current Year shall not exceed Gross Receipts for the Current Year for those items of revenue and expense set forth in the mutually agreed upon Projected Food Service Budget attached hereto as Exhibit A.
b. Reimbursement: ARAMARK agrees to reimburse Local Education Agency for the amount,
if any, by which Local Education Agency’s actual Total Food Service Costs for the Current Year exceed Gross Receipts for the Current Year (“Local Education Agency Shortfall”)
ff. Resolution for TCHS Main to Accept a Donation from the Trenton Public Education
Foundation BE IT RESOLVED: that the Trenton Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the Resolution for TCHS Main to Accept a Donation from the Trenton Public Education Foundation in the amount of $1,352.00. The funds will be used to provide bus transportation, meals and teacher stipends, enabling the TCHS Robotics Team to make a presentation at the New Jersey School Boards Association Annual Workshop in Atlantic City, highlighting the positive aspects of education in the Trenton Public Schools.
