A discipline concerning the design, evaluation and implementation & study of interactive computing systems for human use (Preece, Rogers, and Sharp 2002)

Interaction Design (ID): The design of spaces for human-computer interaction and communication (Winograd 1997)

Examples of some bad designs

–  On the bottom row, people often push a label by mistake instead of a control button

–  People do not make same mistake for the labels and buttons on the top row. Why not?
