Seeing

Is

Believing

But as humans, we often fail to really see the world around us

Whether we’re sheltered from the world’s sufferings

Or just choose not to see them

Neither should be an excuse for not doing our part to help

But the reality is that it is

So let’s start at the beginning…

Life is Beautiful

And yet…

Approximately 115,000 babies are aborted…

Every Day.

Shouldn’t everyone, no matter how helpless, be given an equal chance?

Speaking of equality…

All Men Were Created Equal.

And Yet…

An entire race was enslaved for approximately 246 years.

But this is not in the past…

A teacher from Valley Traditional High School in Louisville recently escaped job termination after calling one of his own students a

“nigger”

Slavery still goes on today with every stereotype and racial slur.

On that note, people are judged way too fast these days.

Take one’s sexual preferences as an example.

We think “faggot” before we think Soldier.

You can’t help who you Love…

But you can help who you Hate.

Japan

The horrific tsunami suffered by Japanese inhabitants on March 11, 2011 left over 9,300 people dead and over 13,800 people missing.

Libya

Protest against a nation’s tyrant leader incites a bloody rebellion and the emigration of over 215,000 people.

Haiti

Making less than $2 USD a day, the average Haitian is still struggling to recover from an earthquake that killed over 230,000 people and caused an outbreak of

cholera that will kill approximately 8,000 Haitians by the end of 2011

United States of America

1 out of every 7 homes nationwide were foreclosed in 2010, leading to the homelessness of over 3.5 million people.

Open your eyes to the world around you…

Seeing

Is

Believing

Now what are YOU going to do about it?
