Summer Envelopes
We sincerely thank our parishioners who participate in WeShare, our parish online giving program and those who mail/deliver their envelopes to the parish office while out of town on vacations over the summer. As many of you understand, the parish expenses and obligations do not take a vacation when you do, so it is very helpful to be able to rely on your continued support even when you cannot personally attend Mass here. Thank you!
Survey on “Young People, the Faith and
Vocational Discernment”
Bishop Checchio has asked all the parishes in the diocese to gather information for the Pope’s upcoming Synod on “Young People, the Faith and Vocational Discernment”. We’ve developed a survey, which is being used by many parishes in the area. Please take a few moments to share your thoughts. We’re especially hoping that our teenagers and young adults will respond to this invitation and complete the survey, but it is open to all who wish to participate! Please visit our parish website at www.stmaryswatchung.org and provide your input to help Pope Francis and the bishops prepare for this important endeavor! The survey will close at midnight on Sunday, June 25th.
Remember in Prayer
We offer our sincere sympathy to the families of James Patrick Matullo, Victor Giudetti III and Alessandra Mellozzi, who died recently. May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in God’s peace.

Stewardship Reflection
“Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father.” Mt. 10:32 Do you share your Catholic faith with others? Do you defend your Catholic faith or do you remain silent when the situation arises? Do you pray in public before meals? Pray for the strength and courage to be a joyful witness of our Catholic faith when the opportunity presents itself.
Become An Apostle of Prayer
A 2-3 Minute Daily Commitment Our Diocesan Office for Persons with Disabilities is seeking people to become Apostles of Prayer - offering prayers each day for those who make requests through our 24 hour prayer line. As a member of the apostolate, you would make a commitment to pray the Prayer for Persons with Earthly Crosses, at least once a day or more often if possible. (A copy of the prayer will be sent to you). If you are interested in participating in this prayer ministry, please contact our Office for Persons with Disabilities at 732-765-6432.
Catholic Charities
Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen is seeking loving families to foster children of all ages, who have been abused, neglected or have had multiple out of home placements, through its Treatment Family Homes Program, contracted by New Jersey’s Department of Children and Families. The goal for the children is to leave foster care and achieve permanency through reunification with their families, adoption, or independent living. Catholic Charities provides these resilient children with individual and family therapy, assistance with educational and medical needs, and independent living skills to help them reach their full potential. For more information about this program and all the requirements, call Miguelina Nunez at 866-247-4663.
