~Eucharistic Adoration~ This is a weekly one hour face-to-face appointment with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. If you have a
variable schedule, substitute adorers are always needed. Adoration is held Mon- Fri 5am-10pm, Sat 5am-5pm, Sun 3-10pm. Call Debbie Harrelson for more information at
478-714-9393. Adorers are needed for Sun 6pm, 8pm & 9pm, Mon 4pm; Tues 5am & 9pm; Thurs 6am,11am,
1pm; Fri 6am, 5pm, & 9pm; Sat 5am & 1pm.
Today we celebrate Passion (Palm) Sunday and enter into the most solemn week of the Church’s liturgical calendar: Holy Week, which will culminate in the celebration of the Sacred (Easter) Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday). On Holy Thursday, the focus is on the institution of the Holy Eucharist and of the priestly order, as well has how we are all, as disciples of Christ, called to serve one another by following Jesus’ example of the washing of the feet. On the Friday of the Passion of the Lord (Good Friday), we gather to: hear the Word of God, to pray the Solemn Intercessions, to adore the Holy Cross, and to receive Holy Communion. During the day on Holy Saturday, the Church waits at the Lord’s tomb awaiting the Resurrection. The next Mass will be celebrated at the Easter Vigil
which will usher in the abundance of paschal joy that extends throughout the fifty days of the Easter Season. In the past years, I have known people who made it a point to arrange their schedules in order that they might attend each liturgical celebration that makes up the Sacred Triduum, but for many people it is difficult, if not impossible, to do so. Easter is to be a time of abundant joy in the resurrected Christ, therefore no one should feel guilty about not be able to attend each of the celebrations of the Triduum. Nevertheless, I would suggest that we look at our schedules for Holy Week and see if we might be able to arrange our commitments in order to attend some if not all of the liturgies offered. If we are able to do so, I am convinced they will be a source of abundant grace in our lives.
“I tell you, Peter, before the cock crows this day, you will deny three times that you know me.” ~Luke 22:34 How many times have you heard someone make a disparaging comment about Jesus or our Catholic faith? How did you react? Do you remain quiet, not to cause a disturbance? Or, do you remain quiet because you believe people will think negatively about you? Pray for the courage to speak up and enter into a respectful dialogue when the opportunity arises.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY Who Is It For? Seriously, who determines who is in Celebrate Recovery – you know, “those people”? How do you know if you’re one of them? Does somebody keep a list? How bad do you have to be to be one of them? Better yet, how good do you have to be to NOT be one of them? Have you found yourself saying: “I’m obviously not one of them.” “It’s not like that with me.” “I’m better than that.” Many of us have said those things because we gauge our condition based on the lives of others. We compare our marriages to those who are torn apart, or we compare our friends to the downtrodden. “At least we aren’t like them,” we say, often in an effort to make ourselves feel a little better. Pridefully, we reserve a group of "those people” as beings who are really messed up, and those who aren’t strong
enough to take care of their own lives.
A wise man has said that the weak are indeed strong, and those who think they are strong are actually weak. Which one are you? Why not try us for four weeks and see if your physical and spiritual life doesn’t change for the better?
See what Celebrate Recovery can do for you every Tuesday* at 7:00 PM in the PAC Cafeteria. Free childcare is provided. *Celebrate Recovery will not meet this week in observance of Holy Week. Bruce “Boomer” Twining 478-335-9428

BABY BOTTLE DRIVE Our Annual Baby Bottle Drive, sponsored by Friends for LIFE to benefit The Kolbe Center for Life, has begun. Please take a baby bottle (or use any plastic bottle or ziploc bag), fill it with coins, dollar bills, or a check payable to The Kolbe Center for Life, and bring it to Mass on Mother's Day weekend, May 11th/12th. Bottles may also be returned to the GIFT SHOP in the Narthex or to the CHURCH OFFICE. Help us save money by returning ALL bottles, whether filled or not, by the end of May so we can reuse them next year. The Kolbe Center for Life is our deanery's pro-life center and is located in Macon. They provide many services to promote a culture of life, and this past year they were instrumental in preventing the Summit Group abortion providers from opening a clinic on Walnut Street in Macon. The proposed site will soon be the new office for The Kolbe Center! They are currently renovating the existing building on the site, and hope to move there in July. Let's be as generous as possible to assist with these renovations as well as support their efforts to help women with unplanned pregnancies. Your support helps them help these women choose life!
Join us on June 9 after the noon bilingual Mass to celebrate the

ANNOUNCEMENT FOR LITURGICAL MINISTERS To all liturgical ministers, including Eucharistic ministers, lectors, altar servers, cantors, and ushers: You are reminded that your service for the Masses involving all the services of the Triduum/ Holy Week and Easter are not scheduled as is typical. Charts have been posted in the ministers’ sacristy showing what numbers are needed for the services on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil and the Masses of Easter during the day. Please take a moment and look at what Masses and slots are still open for sign-ups. For such events, you do a better job of telling us your plans than we do trying to guess. Thank you!
Sound Shepherd Ministry We are in need of sound shepherds to help monitor the sound system
during the Masses, especially the Sunday 11:45am Mass. Experience is not required and training is available. If anyone is interested in helping with this ministry, please contact John Louth at jwlmjl@windstream.net
