I. INTROITUS Requiem aeternam dona eis Domine: Grant them eternal rest, Lord, et lux perpetua luceat eis. And let perpetual light shine upon them.

Te decet hymnus Deus, in Sion, A hymn becometh Thee, O God, in Zion, et tibi reddetur votum in Jerusalem. and a vow shall be paid to Thee in Jerusalem.

Exaudi orationem meam, Hear my prayer: ad te omnis caro veniet. To Thee all flesh shall come.

II. KYRIE Kyrie eleison. Lord, have mercy.

Christe eleison. Christ, have mercy. Kyrie eleison. Lord, have mercy. III. DOMINE JESU CHRISTE

Domine Jesu Christe, rex gloriae, O Lord Jesus Christ, King of Glory, libera animas omnium fidelium defunctorum deliver the souls of all the faithful departed

VII. LIBERA ME and THE COMFORTER Libera me, Domine, de morte aeterna, Deliver me, O Lord, from eternal death

in die illa tremenda: on that awful day Quando coeli movendi sunt et terra: when the heavens and the earth shall quake.

Tremens factus sum ego, et timeo, Full of terror am I, and trembling, dum discussio venerit, atque ventura ira. and I fear the trial and the wrath to come.

Dies illa, dies irae, calamitatis et miseriae. That day shall be a day of wrath, calamity and misery. Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, Grant them eternal rest, O Lord,

THE COMFORTER When I grieve,

as I die, You reach softly within me

and unlatch the doors that guard my heart. You ease them open, one by one,

and with warm hands cup my heart. You lift me up into the air

and hold me to the heavens above. You breathe upon my heart.

And I smell the sea and hear the song of the Dove.

Te decet hymnus Deus, in Sion, A hymn becometh Thee, O God, in Zion, et tibi reddetur votum in Jerusalem. and a vow shall be paid to Thee in Jerusalem.

Exaudi orationem meam, Hear my prayer: ad te omnis caro veniet. To Thee all flesh shall come.

II. KYRIE Kyrie eleison. Lord, have mercy.

Christe eleison. Christ, have mercy. Kyrie eleison. Lord, have mercy. III. DOMINE JESU CHRISTE

Domine Jesu Christe, rex gloriae, O Lord Jesus Christ, King of Glory, libera animas omnium fidelium defunctorum deliver the souls of all the faithful departed

VI. LUX AETERNA Lux aeterna luceat eis, Domine, Let everlasting light shine upon them, Lord,

cum sanctis tuis in aeternum, with Thy saints for ever,quia pius es. for Thou art good.

VII. LIBERA ME and THE COMFORTER Libera me, Domine, de morte aeterna, Deliver me, O Lord, from eternal death

in die illa tremenda: on that awful day Quando coeli movendi sunt et terra: when the heavens and the earth shall quake.

Tremens factus sum ego, et timeo, Full of terror am I, and trembling, dum discussio venerit, atque ventura ira. and I fear the trial and the wrath to come.

Dies illa, dies irae, calamitatis et miseriae. That day shall be a day of wrath, calamity and misery. Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, Grant them eternal rest, O Lord,

et lux perpetua luceat eis. and let perpetual light shine upon them.

THE COMFORTER When I grieve,

as I die, You reach softly within me

and unlatch the doors that guard my heart. You ease them open, one by one,

and with warm hands cup my heart. You lift me up into the air

and hold me to the heavens above. You breathe upon my heart.

And I smell the sea and hear the song of the Dove.
