Lesson number 3:
LOVE THE PRODUCT!
Love the Product
Why are we doing this again?
Love the Product
Why Global Exchange
Programs?
Love the Product
To answer these questions, let us start with our vision.
Love the Product
Peace and fulfilment of humankinds potential.
Love the Product
Unrealistic? Unattainable?
Love the Product
Not really. Through GEPs, we make people understand different or even opposite cultures. Through understanding, they eliminate all stereotypes and false judgements. They start to realize that the people around them is the same as the people at the opposite side of the world.
Love the Product
Still not convinced? We transform people to become independent, responsible, professional, and open-minded individuals. Through GEPs, we activate leaders by bringing out their full potential and their full potential can only be realized when they are immersed with a completely different environment. This is the purpose of having exchange in the first place.
Love the Product
The result? A wholesome, diverse, responsible, and professional leader with a global mind-set. The kind of leaders we need not only in our country, but also in every country.
Love the Product
With this, peace and fulfilment of
humankinds' potential can be a reality.
Love the Product
Realized how AIESEC can really change the world?
Realized how you can take
part in this cause?
Love the Product
Before you start selling the product:
Know, Understand, and
Love the product.
Remember!
• The process: – Sign up (only those who are interested) – Stamp the boarding pass – Tell them to wait for additional reminders via text
and email. – Give passport with boarding pass (or flyer and
boarding pass if passports are depleted). – Refresh the laptop/iPad browser to accept another
sign up.
Important reminders
• In the booth, make sure to check if everything is prepared. – Laptops/iPads with internet connection. – Set the website to http://tinyurl.com/OGXRW3 – After one sign up, just refresh the page to accept another
sign up. – Passports with boarding pass attached inside. – Stamp that will print the other GEOS dates. – Flyers to be distributed to everyone that passes.
Important reminders
• Only distribute passports to those who will sign up and you think will really go to GEOS. (not to those who signed up just to get a pubmat or etc.).
• Before giving the passport, make sure the boarding pass is attached and is stamped with the other GEOS dates. (stamp will be provided in the booth)
• Only a max of 88 passports are allowed to be distributed each day.
• If passports are depleted, just give the flyers and boarding pass instead (do not forget to stamp the boarding pass).
Important reminders
• When giving the pubmats, tell them to wait for further reminders via e-mail and text since GEOS time and venue in the boarding pass is not final.
• Avoid overcrowding the booth. This could make us look unwelcoming.
• When selling, avoid harassing the customer. 1-2 people could do the selling.
• Always smile to everyone that passes. We should look welcoming and friendly.
• Remember to keep track of the number of people you get to sign up. Rewards will be given to the top 3 who has acquired the highest sign ups. But remember our goal, GEOS attendees and not number of sign ups!
Important reminders
• Distribute the flyers for those who pass by the booth. • Always act friendly and professional! This is part of our
branding as AIESEC DLSU. • Do not forget the goal - to make them go to the
GEOS. • For those who will do RTR, before leaving the booth
make sure there are at least 2 people to man the booth.
Important reminders
• Do not talk like robots. Engage with the customers. Say it like you mean it. (to do this, you must trust the product).
• DO NOT LITTER. We do not want to brand AIESEC DLSU in that way.
• You can eat while booth manning. Just make sure you are still open for customers.
• Colour coded t-shirt: – Monday: Green – Tuesday: Blue – Wednesday: White – Thursday: Any AIESEC shirt
Important reminders
• Q: Do I need to be a member of AIESEC to go on Exchange? • A: Not At All, Exchange is open to any university student or graduate
aged 18-30 Years. • Q: Do I need to have a specific course or college to go on Exchange? • A: Depends, If you plan on going on a GIP we prefer that you come
from the college and taking up the course you are applying for. But for GCDP any course and college will be ok.
• Q: How long will it take to match? • A: For GCDP, depends on you and how choosy you are, if you’re
flexible enough it can be as fast as two weeks for GCDP. For GIP it can take a minimum of 3 Months to a year depending on availability.
Frequently Asked Questions
• Q: Can I choose the country? • A: As long as there are available opportunities there then yes • Q: Can I choose the project? • A: Yes we will give you a list of possible projects you can join and
you can see which one you’re most interested in • Q: How much would it cost? • A: Well for GCDP, food and accommodations are provided for so
you’ll only have to worry about processing fees and tickets and maybe visas when applicable.
Frequently Asked Questions
• Q: 3,500?! That’s so expensive why that price? • A: The application fee already includes all parts of the orientation
and assessment process plus AIESEC does not keep the money for itself, since we are a non-profit organization we re-channel all of our profits to our projects (Kapatiran, H20, Code Red)
• Q: What is the passing rate for the PSI and RBI • A: We cannot give a definite answer because passing assessment is
completely on you
• Q: What is the raising fee? • A: It’s the fee we use to put up your form on myaiesec.net
Frequently Asked Questions
• Q: Do I need to attend GEOS or go straight to interview? • A: No GEOS = No Interview
• Q: What if I fail PSI will I be refunded? • A: No but you will be allowed to take PSI one more time without
having to pay again. If you should fail that one and still want to re-apply then you will be charged another 3,500
• Q: What countries can I go to? • A: AIESEC is present in over 111 countries but we do suggest you go
to countries where we have established partnerships and have great exchange track records with (Cambodia, China, Brazil, Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, Russia, Poland, Malaysia, Vietnam, Tunisia, Egypt, Indonesia etc.)
Frequently Asked Questions
• Q: Why go on GIP instead of just working • A: GIP will give you practical skills because unlike an OJT it’s REAL
WORK, you get to interact in a different environment that will be beneficial for you in your future endeavors as well as the fact that it’s your chance to travel and explore before you settle on a career path
• Q: I’m graduating can I still go on Exchange? • A: YES you can go on GIP! But if you just want a short trip to explore
and experience something new we suggest going on GCDP!
• Q: I have a friend not from DLSU but wants to go on Exchange • A: He can sign up here if he wants but if he goes to a university with
an AIESEC entity we will probably refer him there
Frequently Asked Questions
• Q: Can I go with my friends on Exchange? • A: For GCDP YES! We usually have projects that will accept 3 people
at a time for GIP it is more unlikely so we do not suggest it. Though we hope that you would prefer to go alone because it’ll be your chance to gain some independence and it will be a more fruitful experience where you can get to meet new people
• Q: What are the different projects available? • A: Show them partner poster or Exchange At DLSU Fan page or
Website
• Q: What if I can’t make it during GEOS? • A: There will be more dates available during our 4th Recruitment
Cycle in November
