RGS at Langhovde GSI installed a remote GPS station at

Langhovde in January 2000. A built-in battery and wind / solar

power plant enable continuous GPS observation at a remote site, 27 km south of Syowa base.

Currently, data with 120 seconds interval are stored in PC and retrieved by GSI staff once per year.
