You Matter is a non-profit organization that mentors to young adults about the many different situations that they are facing. There are many young peopled between that ages of eighteen to twenty-nine, that are dealing with social, physical, and mental issues and finds it difficult to go through alone.

NarrativeWhy do people feel like we have to change our appearance to fit with society’s standards of beauty? Why do we buy into commercials that tell us to hide our flaws with concealer or try this miracle weight loss supplement? Let’s stop! Does it ever feel like all you do is work, sleep, and eat? Or do u spend so much energy trying to fit in with you peers, struggling to keep with the newest things? Let’s face it, it is not always easy to talk about your feelings and sometimes you may not even feel like talking at all. The idea of sharing your most intimate problems with strangers isn’t very exciting, but perhaps, using a creative outlet can help you release all of your suppressed emotions. No matter what your journey is, there are all kinds of ways that you can make a difference in your own life and in the lives of those around you.
