Principal’s Report Athletics Carnival 2019 Congratulations to all of the students who competed at the Athletics Carnival last week. Once again, I was impressed with the sportsmanship displayed by our students. It was a wonderful day organised by Mrs Steele, Mrs Ward and Mrs Wade and the students had a great time. I would like to wish the best of luck to our students who will represent us at zone. We know they will give their all.
Thank you to Mrs Davies for the wonderful photos.

School News Year 1 Childhood Games Year 1 students have been learning about the history of childhood games. They had great fun playing some of these old fashioned games.
Inspired By Nature Two of Como West’s budding visual artists, Lissette D and Emily D, attended ‘Inspired by Nature’ last week. This was a program run for talented visual artists who had an interest in the environment. They attended the Royal National Park’s Environmental Education Centre and learnt about noticing the patterns and natural beauty of our surrounding environment and how to apply it to the canvas along with incorporating natural materials within their artworks.
Sydney Southeast Symphonic Winds On Monday night Ashley D, Neve C, Mika F and Josh E performed with Sydney Southeast Symphonic Winds (SSSW) in the concert hall of the Sydney Opera House to a packed audience as part of the annual Cantabile Festival. SSSW is a concert band of 120 Year 5-8 students from government schools in the Sydney Region. The two pieces they played were ‘Symphony No.9’ and ‘This is Me’. It is a very special opportunity to get to play on the main stage of the Opera House. Well done.
