What is NBPTS?
NBPTS - is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization created in 1987 in response to “A Nation At Risk” and “A Nation Prepared”
Its mission is to:
• Maintain and update professional standards for accomplished teaching
• Integrate National Board Certified Teachers (NBCTs) into education reform efforts
• Advance school improvement
