Assignment: Create a survey or test that has a minimum of ten questions.

Purpose: To get experience creating a survey/test

Due: Tuesday, October 2, 2007

Personal Reflection: I chose to use Microsoft PowerPoint to create a Jeopardy game that tests the ability of second grade students to add, subtract, complete math word problems, and understand math vocabulary. I learned several key concepts by completing this assignment:

– It is important to test and retest buttons that contain a hyperlink to be sure they are active and linked to the correct slides.

– When creating a technology-based assessment, some font color and background color combinations make it difficult to see and read questions that are asked and information that is presented. Choose color combinations that are visually appealing and easy to see/read.

– A PowerPoint game is a non-traditional way to test for student understanding that can be effective and fun for the learner.
