Laying emphasis on developing newvarieties of oilseeds, Shri Tomar said that the near self-sufficiencyachieved in pulses production needs to be replicated for oilseedsproduction also so that import of edible oils is reduced. The Minister said, millionsof farmers will be benefited once the infrastructure is created andmore milk will be processed. The eligible beneficiaries under the Scheme will be FarmerProducer Organizations, MSMEs, Private Companies andindividual entrepreneurs with minimum 10 per cent margin moneycontribution by them. The balance 90 per cent would be the loancomponent to be made available by scheduled banks. The Ministersaid, Government will provide 3 per cent interest subvention toeligible beneficiaries.
