The annual High- level Segment convenes a diverse group of high-level representatives from the Government, the private sector, civil society and academia. The theme of this year's High-level Segment is "Multilateralism after COVID19: What kind of UN do we need at the 75th anniversary". Set against the changing international environment and the COVID-19 pandemic, this session will focus on critical forces shaping the course of multilateralism and explore ways to bolster the global agenda through strong leadership, effective international institutions, a broadening of participation and enhanced significance of global public goods. This will be first opportunity for PM to address the broader UN membership since India's overwhelming election as a non- permanent member of the Security Council on 17th June, for the term 2021-22. During the programme, technology on low cost brooding and formulation of cost effective feed from locally available ingredients were demonstrated to the participants. PDS foodgrains for two months to be distributed in August Port Blair, July 16 In pursuant to the direction of the Govt. of India to maintain social distancing and minimal movement of PDS beneficiaries, PDS foodgrains shall be distributed in advance for two months for August and September, 2020 in one go in the entire UT in the month of August, 2020. All the ration cardholders have been informed to purchase the foodgrains as per their entitlement for two months in August, 2020, a press release from Directorate of CS & CA said. New Delhi, July 16 India and China are committed to the objective of complete disengagement along the LAC. Indian and Chinese Army Commanders held a meeting at Chushul, on Indian side, for the fourth round of talks on July 14th. Both the sides have been engaged in discussions through established military and diplomatic channels to address the prevailing situation along the LAC. The engagement was consistent with the consensus reached between the Special Representative of India, China remain committed to objective of complete disengagement along LAC: Indian Army India and China earlier, on 5th July, to discuss complete disengagement. New Delhi, July 16 Government today launched the implementation guidelines for Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund, (AHIDF) worth 15 thousand crore rupees. The fund was approved by the Union Cabinet last month under the Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan stimulus package for ensuring growth in several sectors. Launching the guidelines, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister, Shri Giriraj Singh said, Government has been implementing several Govt. launches implementation guidelines for Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund schemes for incentivizing the investment made by dairy cooperative sector for development of dairy infrastructure. The AHIDF has been set up as MSMEs and Private companies also need to be promoted and incentivized for their involvement in processing and value a d d i t i o n infrastructure. He said, India is engaged in breed improvement to increase milk production and on the other hand also taking care of the processing sector. India is producing milk of 188 million tonnes and by 2024 the milk production is expected to rise up to 330 million tons. He said, only 20 to 25 per cent milk is coming under processing sector and the Government is trying to bring the same upto 40 per cent. The eligible beneficiaries under the Scheme will be FarmerProducer Organizations, MSMEs, Private Companies andindividual entrepreneurs with minimum 10 per cent margin moneycontribution by them. The balance 90 per cent would be the loancomponent to be made available by scheduled banks. The Ministersaid, Government will provide 3 per cent interest subvention toeligible beneficiaries.
