PRECISION SELECTABLE HEIGHT-OF-BURST FUZING:
The Proximity, Electronic, Safe, Arm and Fire Enhanced
(PESAF) System provides precision selectable height-of-
burst fuzing capability.
ELECTRONIC SAFE AND ARMING:
The fuzing capability is coupled with electronic safing
and arming for a wide range of powered and unpowered
weapons systems.
IN-FLIGHT HOB SELECTION:
The selectable HOB can be adjusted in flight prior to the
assertion of the arming signal.
MULTIPLE DETONATION OPTIONS:
The PESAF System detonates the munitions in which
it is installed in accordance with four selectable
detonation options: Impact Detonation, Impact with
Delay, Height-of-Burst (HOB) Detonation, and HOB with
Delay.

Proximity, Electronic, Safe, Arm and Enhanced Fire System
The Proximity, Electronic, Safe, Arm and Enhanced Fire System (PESAF) provides precision programmable
height-of-burst fuzing capability. It was developed for multiple, miniature munition weapon platforms that
include all elements needed for safing, arming and firing a warhead including an active fuze sensor to achieve
selectable height-of-burst.
This system is designed for use in alternate arming environments that are compatible with air-delivered glide
weapons, long-range powered missiles, and ground-or-air launched miniature munitions. In addition to arming,
the PESAF active fuze sensor includes enhanced ground profiling radar algorithms and tracker for a precise,
selectable, height-of-burst from 0 to over 50 meters.
APPLICATIONS
The PESAF system is designed for use in alternate
arming environments that are compatible with: • Air-delivered glide weapons
• Long-range powered missiles
• Ground-or-air launched miniature munitions
• Being considered for inclusion in the Air Force flexible weapon modular interface
