Dear Mr Halimi,

On behalf of President Buquicchio, who is currently travelling, I would like to thank you for

your letter and for sending the comments.

In fact, I can reassure you that we did indeed receive these comments also from the

Parliament of Albania. They were not put on our website since we were waiting for the

electronic version but we will do so now.

It will be important for us to have a direct dialogue with the experts from the Democratic

Party. On 2 and 3 November the rapporteurs of the Venice Commission will be in Tirana and

we look forward to meeting you and your colleagues on this occasion. At the meeting in

Venice at the end of this week there will be no substantial discussion, but only a presentation

of the draft in general terms. We will therefore not invite additional participants from

Albania for this session.

The important session will rather be the December session of the Venice Commission, when

the draft opinion of the Commission will be discussed.
