• Enrollmentandapassinggradeinanappropriateensembleeachsemester(whennotabroad). Yourensembleparticipationwillbedeterminedeachsemesterinconsultationwith,andthe approvalof,yourscholarshipadvisor(oneofthefourfull-timefacultyprofessors).
• Enrollmentinappliedlessonsoramusicclass(orboth)eachsemesterwithagradeofatleast“C”ingradedmusicclasses(whennotabroad).
• Enrollmentandgradeofatleast“C”inMUS116andoneofMUS120,MUS220,orMUS232duringorbeforetheJunioryear.
RecipientsoftheDramaScholarshipmustmeetthefollowingrequirements:
• SuccessfullycompletebothDRA150:AnIntroductiontoTechnicalTheatreandDRA117:ActingIpriortotheendofsophomoreyear.
• Attendauditionsorapplyforaback-stagepositionforallthreemain-stageproductionsannually.
• OtherwaysinwhichscholarshipholdersmaybeactiveinDramaatCentreincludebeinginvolvedattheNortonCenter,beinginPlaywritingorDirectingScenesclasses,studyinginouroverseasprogram,takinganinternshipintheatre,volunteeringindramaworkshops,andbeinginvolvedwithCentrePlayers–thestudentdramaorganization

AuditionRequirements:Piano*/InstrumentalAudition:Twopiecesincontrastingstylesfromdifferentmusicalperiods.Maximumtotaltimeis12minutes.Composition:Scoresand/orrecordings(preferablyboth)oftworepresentativeoriginalpieces,preferablyfordifferentinstruments,voice,orinstrumental/vocalcombinations.VoiceAudition*:Threesongsincontrastingstylesperformedfrommemory.Onemaybefrommusicaltheater;theothersmaybefromtheartsong,folksong,orariarepertoire.TwodifferentlanguagesarepreferredbutallmaybeinEnglish.DramaticArtsAudition:Acting:Preparetwocontrastingpieces(abouttwominuteseach)–oneclassical(Shakespeare,forexample)andonecontemporary.Bepreparedtodiscussyourprocess,yourprevioustheatricalexperience,whatyouhopetogetoutofaliberalartstheatreprogram,andwhereyouseeyourselfintenyears.Production/TechnicalTheatre:Bringtoyourauditionaportfoliowithphotosofexamplesofsetsorotherproductionworkyouhavedoneaswellasaresumelistingtheproductionsyouhavebeeninvolvedwithandwhatyourrolewasineach.
