• Most speaks Guarani and Spanish• School, government and in commerce

use Spanish• Conversation Guarani• Some adults can’t write and read• Paraguayan’s Spanish is called

Capital City/Important Cities

• Asuncion is the capital city

• The largest cities are Ciudad del Est and Asuncion

• About half of the people that live in Paraguay live in town and cities

Culture

• Don’t appreciate shouting and being rude

• Men usually give up their bus seats to older people and women

• Poor people is clean too

• Many rural children never drop out to help their families from farm

• The law requires children from age 7 to 13 have to attend school.

• Get money from farming and growing trees

• Money can be just in paper form

• Works on small plot until the soil is no longer productive

• Many people don’t own land for agriculture

• Fifth of land grows crops• Eastern has the best soil• Animals farms on large farms

passion flower• Bush Dog ia an animal that its back

side and the sides of body is reddish brown
