Field Hockey Stadium at the Deodoro Sports Complex, in Rio de Janeiro, where the hockey competitions were held in the Pan American Games Rio 2007.

December 1 - 7 (Depending on the number of participating teams)

Organization

The competition will be organized by the Brazilian Confederation (CBHG) and the Hockey Federation of Rio de Janeiro (FHERJ).

The Championship

There will be both men’s and women’s competitions.

Depending on the number of participating teams, we will hold a one-pool or a two-pool competition.

Brazil will be represented by 2 men’s teams and 1 women’s team.

Transportation

The hotels suggested are in the downtown area, approximately a 25-minute ride to the Deodoro Sports Complex.

Transportation from the hotels to Deodoro will be sponsored by CBHG.

The officials will have separate transportation, also sponsored by CBHG.

Media Coverage

For the duration of the championship, the major newspapers will be covering the event.

As soon as we receive confirmation that the championship will be held in Rio, we will contact the television networks to discuss coverage.

CBHG will have a photographer present throughout the competition.

Public Attendance

Admission will be free of charge.

The event, will be announced in schools and universities as well as in the media.

Closing Ceremonies

For men and women:

Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places;

Gold, silver and bronze medals;

Awards for most valuable player, best goal keeper and best scorer.
