Letters Ranger Family
Palmyra Nov. 3 d 1834.
Dear Betsey.
In answer to your kind letter I would express my obligation to you
for the present of the hat, and dress, which you made me. I am much pleased with them both, and
shall ever look upon them as tokens of friendship for which I feel very thankful
We received the box from Glens Falls last Wednesday should have
been very glad had the miniature had been in it, suppose it would not have been safe, and should
not wish to have had it unless it was perfectly so. Aunt wishes me to say to you that she is quite
obliged to you for the roots which you sent her, her health is better than it was when you left, sends her respects to you.
You speak of Samuel, and Olive's being unwell should [?] glad to hear of their
health, Please remember me affectionately [to] each of your family, and other inquiring friends,
accept ashare of love for yourself.
Affectionately Isabella Ames.
