Open your Company
Click on File| Printer/Font Setup
The ‘Printer/Font Setup’ screen will display
Two rows of tab options will display
Select either the Customer or Supplier tab from within the first row
Select the Documents tabs from the second row
By Select a Document click the drop down menu
Select each document name
At the bottom left next to Paper Style Assistant the box with text shows the Paper Style for
the selected document
Once the documents are checked click on the Statement/ Remittance tab
By Paper Style Assistant is a box with text showing the Paper Style for the statement
Once you have checked all the Paper Style’s for all customer/supplier documents click on
OK to exit the ‘Printer/Font Setup’ screen
How to change the Paper Style of customer/supplier documents
From the ‘Printer/Font Setup’ screen
Click on the Paper Style Assistant button
The ‘Paper Style Assistant’ will launch
Select the Paper Style you wish to use
Plain This prints the document on plain paper. The system prints lines and boxes to neaten the appearance.
Pre-printed You can purchase pre-printed stationery with lines and boxes printed on the paper. The paper size lets you fold the page once and the address displays in most standard window envelopes.
Header Pre-printed
You can arrange to have your company logo and other information printed on the pre-printed paper.
Click Next
Select the Paper Type you wish to use
Click Next
Click Finish
In Pastel it is vitally important that you setup your printers as well as your print options correctly. By default, most if not all printer drivers are setup to use letter sized paper. This can cause issues when printing invoices and statements from Sage Pastel Partner and Xpress.
Navigate to the Windows Control Panel
The ‘Control Panel’ screen will display:
Select the option to view by either large or small icons
Select the option Devices and Printers
The ‘Devices and Printer’ screen will display:
Right click on the printer that is being used in Sage Pastel Accounting.
Select Printing Preferences
The ‘Printing Preferences’ screen will display:
NOTE: The following steps may differ depending on the type of printer you are using
Click the Advanced button should there be one
The ‘Advanced Option’ screen will display:
Select A4 by Paper size
Click OK
If there is no advanced button, go through each tab and look for the paper size as shown
below:
Should there be an option Original Size and Paper size, both must be set to A4
Check each tab as the paper size may be located on more than one tab Once you have set the paper size on all tabs to A4 click Apply and OK
NOTE: The name of the tabs will depend on the make and model of the printer you are using.
Left click once on the printer being used in Sage Pastel Accounting
A tool bar will appear at the top of the screen:
Click on Print server properties
The ‘Print Server Properties’ screen will display:
Tick the Create a new Form box
By Form Name type in Pastel Paper
By Form description (measurements) select Metric
Insert the Height & Width.
If you use Pastel's pre-printed paper, the size is 21.59 cm x 21.59 cm (If you do not make
use of Pastel Stationary, please measure one sheet of the paper you use, and include
the perforated area on the paper.)
Enter the measurements
Click on OK to save the form
Right click on the printer and select printing preferences, change all paper styles/sizes to
the form created
