Who is eligible to offer HMT?

• Top 10% of the PSLE cohort or

• Top 11%-30% band with A* grade in

MT or at least a Merit in HMT

• From 2017, we are offering HMT to

all Sec 1 students.

Advantages for Offering HMT

• Students with at least a C6 in EL and D7 in HMT

will be exempted from offering MT at

A-level

• O-Level students with a pass in both EL and HMT

may use 2 bonus points for admission to Junior

College (JC)

• HMT may be used to replace EL as first

language in the calculation of L1R5 for JC

admission

1-year Probation for HMT

• School will allow all Sec 1 students to offer

HMT on 1-year probation.

• The student’s results will be reviewed at

the end of Sec 1 to determine if she could

continue with HMT.

Chinese (Special Prog)(CSP)/

Malay (Special Prog)(MSP)

All Sec 1 students who do not offer

Malay or Chinese as their MTL, are

eligible to offer MSP or CSP as a third

language respectively.

Advantages of offering CSP/MSP

Students who pass CSP/MSP at O-Level

• will be awarded 2 bonus points for

admission to Junior College(JC).

• will be allowed to use CSP/MSP grade

in-lieu of Humanities

• Those who are taking MSP will be eligible for RSP

• It is a 4 to 6 year scholarship programme given by

MOE

• The RSP is non-examinable and lessons are

conducted during 1 period weekly

• Students will engage in active discussion and impart

their ideas through presentations and project-based

task assigned

• Cultural enrichment and immersion programme to

regional countries annually subsidized by MOE

If the number of applicants exceeds

that of vacancies, selection will be

based on the applicant’s PSLE results.

If you wish to apply for CSP/MSP for your

daughter, please collect an application

form from the Enquiry Booth or General

Office and return the completed form,

together with a photocopy of your child’s

PSLE RESULT SLIP, stating the

Aggregate Score to the General Office by

Tuesday 3 Jan 2017.
