Obando Water District entered into
a Joint Venture Agreement with Manila Water Philippine Ventures Consortium (Obando Water Consortium Holdings Inc.) for the management of water facilities and the provision of water and sanitation services in the Municipality of Obando.
Obando Water Company Inc.was incorporated as the Joint Venture Company (JVC) which will implement the concession project.
Municipality of Obando suffered from various water problems,such that only 20% of the area’s population had access to dailysupply due to mainline losses brought about by deterioratedpipelines and illegal connections.

Structure
Since January 2018, Obando residents haveseen significant improvements in their waterservices brought about by Obando Water’sefforts to replace distribution lines and reducemainline losses.

Within the first 6 months of operations, OWCI successfully recovered 1MLD or 8% NRW through network rehabilitation projects and active leakage management.
