Faster Theegarten-Pactec flow-wrapper Theegarten-Pactec’s FPC5 horizontal packagingmachine has a newly designed feeding unit that expandsthe machine’s capability to wrap short items in flowpacksat high speed. The FPC5 can now package small com-pressed stock cubes and tablets at a speed of 1,500 unitsper minute. Test runs indicate that leeway exists forupward flexibility in capacity.
The unit separatesshort products at highspeed by utilizing two-track synchronization,with each track isolat-ing 750 units perminute. At the end ofthe grouping process,the two tracks converge into a single one, passing on a four-product group to produce multipacks. The FPC5 belongsto a new generation of horizontal flowpack machinesdeveloped with a modular platform consisting of similarbasic modules and optional features.

The MacIntyre refiner/conche is a universal solutionfor small to mid-scale produc-ers. It performs the functionsof a sugar mill, cocoa mill,premixer, refiner and conche,all within a small footprint.
The dry-processing systemoffered by Hamburg Dresd-ner is particularly suitable for compounds and coatings,but also for chocolate making. The semi-continuous sys-tem precisely blends sugar, cocoa powder, various milkpowders and other dry ingredients, which are then groundand classified to any desired particle size between 15 and40 μm.

Hänsel Processing Turbomat aeratingmachineHänsel Processing GmbH, a global provider of confec-tionery processing solutions, has developed the plc - controlled Turbomat for continuous mixing, dispersingand aeration of bar foam,chewy candy or aerated jellymasses, as well as marshmal-low. Air quantity, rotorspeed, system pressure andtemperature can be contin-uously adjusted. It can alsobe run in batch mode.
The closed, compactTurbomat is designed forsingle or multicomponentfeed. An optional dosing unit for coloring agents and fla-vors is available. Throughput ranges from 35 to2,500 lbs/hr. Other features include automatic dosing ofall raw materials, a drive shaft equipped with two rollerbearings, a dynamic mixing head with three differentlengths and cip or other possibilities of cleaning.

Turbomat aerating machine
New ADM tech center in KentuckyArcher Daniels Midland Company has selected Erlanger,Kentucky as the site for its new information technologyand support center, which will open in the second half of2015. It will be located on the same campus as ADM’sWild Flavors and Specialty Ingredients business unitoffices.
In addition to it support, the new facility will also sup-port 1ADM, which plans and implements the company’snew enterprise resource-planning system.
The center will open with approximately 100 contrac-tors and ADM colleagues and will eventually expand to200. ADM will recruit a wide variety of positions at theErlanger center, including project managers, business ana-lysts and solution integrators.
