The FPC5 can now package small com- pressed stock cubes and tablets at a speed of 1,500 units per minute. Test runs indicate that leeway exists for upward flexibility in capacity. The unit separates short products at high speed by utilizing two- track synchronization, with each track isolat- ing 750 units per minute. At the end of the grouping process, the two tracks converge into a single one, passing on a four- product group to produce multipacks. The FPC5 belongs to a new generation of horizontal flowpack machines developed with a modular platform consisting of similar basic modules and optional features.
