Vikash Technical campus has a special gathering after the winter break on 7th January 2017 to bid adieu to 2016
and welcome the New Year with the positive vibe and hope that it will invite truckloads of happiness and joy in
everyone’s life. In the presence of all the Management Members, Principals, Teaching and Non Teaching
staffs, the meeting was held to convey New Year wishes to the students to highlighta fresh start with a new bunch
of resolutions, forgetting the bad memories, moving ahead and starting things on a positive note.
Celebrations are the most extravagant at Vikash campus. Along with different cultural, academic fests, a get-
together of all the staff members of Vikash Group has been organized on 15th January 2017 celebrate the
Achievements of the year 2016-17. The focus was on to recognize the success of students, academic excellence
and devoted faculties and staff members who strive to achieve the highest standards and to make a significant
contribution.
The 68th Republic Day is celebrated in all its solemnity
and grandeur at Vikash campus on 26th January
2017. Vikashites as true Indians saluted the National
Flag and pledged themselves to uphold the honor and
integrity, diversity and uniqueness.
Honorable Dr. Kamadeba Sahu, Retired Vice Principal, G.M.(Autonomnous) College, Sambalpur hoisted the
Tri Color as the Chief Guest of the occasion in the presence of Management members, all the Principals,
Vice-Principals, Coordinators, all the faculty members, staff members and students of Vikash family.Students
from different wings, filled with a deep sense of patriotism, unity and secularism displayed a colorful March
Past followed by cultural programme.
Students of Vikash Technical Campus organized a cultural evening “Ek Shaam Watan Ke Naam” on the eve
of Republic Day with a spirit of Patriotism to showcase their individual talent to pay tribute to the motherland
and people who have struggled and sacrificed lives for the motherland
Miss Ila Sahu, a student of Diploma 2ndSem, secured 2nd position in
the District level Competition of Mono-action, organized by District
Culture Office, Bargarh on the occasion of 68th Republic Day. She has
received the award from honorable District Collector, Sri Anjan Kumar
Manik and S.P., Sri Jugal Kumar Banoth on 26th Jan 2017.
On an enlightening session on Road Safety Awareness has been jointly organized by experts of ASHOKA group to
promote prioritization of road safety education with a focus on issues like drunk driving, driving fast, negligent and
rash driving. Mr. Sudhakar Pudke, Incident Manager (Ashoka) and Mr. Omkarnath Pradhan, Coordinator, Road
Safety Week, addressed the gathering with an aim to instill safe attitudes of young people early which will protect
them later in life.
• Exams and group assignments do not always capture students’ unique skills to be applied for real world
problems. VTC provides a myriad of opportunities for the students; a platform to showcase their talent, the
knowledge and skills, to achieve greater things in life. So various competitions have been organized,
essentially outside a typical pen and pencil classroom experience, to encourage students to adopt innovative
techniques and develop their ideas and skills.
• The experienced panel of Jury provided a critical analysis and feedback of students’ performance. In this way,
students’ involvement in various competitions acted as a great source of self-evaluation for students and help
nurture their experience and skills further.
GROUP DISCUSSION COMPETITION
The esteemed Jury member was Mr. Bidyut Das, Director, Ahead Institute, Bargarh adjudged the participants in
Group Discussion competition, held on 20th Jan.
ANCHORING COMPETITION
Organized on 21st Jan. and Mr. Byomkesh Kar, Reporter, News 7, was invited as the honorary Jury member
of the competition.
EXTEMPORE COMPETITION (ENGLISH)
Mr. R.K. Prusty, Lecturer in Psychology, Panchayat College,
Bargarh graced the competition as the Jury member in the
Extempore Competition (English), held on 23rd Jan.
QUIZ COMPETITION
The preliminary round of Quiz Competitionwas held on 24th Jan in which 92 groups(each group consisting 2
candidates) participated and out of which 6 groups were selected for the final round. Shri D. Murlikrishna,
Chairman, Vikash Group of Institutions, has served his gracious presence hosting as the Quiz master for the final
round, held on 25th Jan. The whole gathering enjoyed the event and feel honored to have the Chairman of Vikash
Group.
RAMP SHOW
The most awaited glamorous event Ramp Show
has been celebrated on 26th jan.The esteemed Jury
members were Mrs. Kiran Mittal and SangeetaAgrawal,
of Bargarh.
POSTER DESIGN COMPETITION
Held on 28th Jan on the eve of Annual Day
Students of B. Tech 1st & 4th year attended a seminar on
Advance C & Data Structure held on 28th Jan.
Mr. Sushant K Rout, Director, LIT, Bhubaneswar as the
Resource person addressed the gathering and presented his
views on the topic help students understand and gain more
knowledge beyond curriculum in an effective way.

exams and grades are temporary, but education is permanent. Student’s of both VIT & VP show their

Classes of even Semester of B.Tech 4th and 2ndsem have been commenced on 3rd Jan, 2017 after completion of
Semester examination.
Classes of Diploma 2nd semester has been started on 3rd Jan, 2017.
With a purpose of planning and discussing about the several projects, cost-estimation, scope and arranging
necessary equipment, a meeting was held on 03 Jan 2017 in the honorable presence of Honorable Director,
Principal, Coordinator, Academic Coordinators, all HODs ,faculty & staff members for the upcoming event
Tech-Fest, 2017.
An Academic meeting was held on 30th Jan 2017 to discuss about the students attendance & performance, day-
to-day activities, course progress and adopting new strategies for attaining students better performance in the
honorable presence of Coordinator, Academic Coordinators and all the HODs.
An Academic Review meeting was held on 28th Jan. to discuss about the planning and decisions taken at the
previous meeting on with all the faculty and staff members with a purpose of seeking their suggestions and
feedback regarding different strategies to be adopted for better achievement in next semester exams.
Vikash Student Entrepreneurship Club has gained a wonderful experience in participating the Food Mela on
the eve of Spotlight- 2017 at Vikash ACC Public School, Cement Nagar campus. This time Vikashites explore
the world of entrepreneurship with more enriched knowledge and perfection overcoming most of the
difficulties they faced earlier. Thus they gained the skills and are prepared to be future entrepreneurs with the
spirit of building right team. The gathering enjoyed healthy, tasty, affordable food served by the students.
