ACHIEVEMENTS STUDENTS :-

� Vikashites exhibited their potential in presenting their innovative project on Skilling Odisha organized by BPUT, held on

28th October & 17th October in two different stages at Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur. AkankhyaBarik and

SnigdhaMahapatra of B.Tech. 3rd sem. of Vikash Institute of Technology secured 3rd position in zonal level under the

guidance of Er. Pankaj Kumar, Lecturer in ECE and Er. Purnendu Mishra, HOD ECE. The students were also selected &

participated in the state level competition held at DRIEMS, Cuttack

FACULTIES:-

� Prof. A.K. Mohapatra, Principal has been nominated as a member of Technical committee,

Sambalpur University Institute of Information Technology (SUIIT).

� Prof. Ram Chandra Barik, HOD, Department of Computer Science Engineering, Vikash Institute of

Technology was being assigned to review a research paper entitled as "Chromosomal Microarray

Genetic Testing – A Qualitative Investigation among Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum

Disorders in Rural North Carolina" for Journal of Clinical & Medical Genomics by Prof. (Dr.) Zefeng

Wang (University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Chapel Hill, U.S.A), editor to the same journal

on Dt. 03/10/16. The paper was being successfully reviewed by Mr. Barik then the feedback was

submitted to them.

� Miss Snigdha Priyambada ,Asst. Prof, Dept of EEE, VIkash Institute of Technology has published two

papers entitled as “Fuzzy PID controller optimized TLBO approach on AVR”, ”Performance

evaluation of DEPSO algorithm on AVR using conventional PID and Fuzzy PID controller” in

IEEE Conference.

WWaall ll MM aaggaazziinnee 2nd Edition of Wall Magazine “Vibronics” has been published on 31st October 2016 under the

guidance of Mrs. Sanchaita Tripathy, Asst.Professor in English by the students of both VIT & VP in

the honorable presence of Prof.A.K.Mohapatra, Principal, Er.Purnendu Mishra Co-ordinator,

Academic Co-ordinators, HODs and all the faculty members.

Celebrations � Newly constructed canteen Sip & Gossip has been inaugurated in Vikash Group of Institution

by the Chairman, Shri D. Murli Krishna, Director Ad ministration Shri Nageswar Rao in the presence of Director Dr. S.N.Panda and all the Principals, Administrators, Staff Members & students on 17th October providing healthy and nutritious options for all students and staffs.

Academics � The Class Test-II of odd semester (3rd, 5th, & 7th) has been commenced from 3rd October,

2016 for Vikash Institute of Technology and 4th October, 2016 for Vikash Polytechnic.

� The Class Test-I of Semester-1 has been commenced from 3rd October, 2016 for Vikash Institute of Technology and 4th October, 2016 for Vikash Polytechnic.

� All the courses of B.Tech 5th Semester & 7th semester were completed with revision &

Previous year question papers discussion.

Diwali Celebration

The Celebration of Diwali, the festival of Lights, came alive when the whole campus wore a festive look with Diyas and lights in bright colors on 30th October. Decorated in vibrant hues, filled with the sound of crackers, the campus had an ambience of joy and happiness where the students enjoyed the DJ night at its fullest.
