Haryana Chief MinisteManohar Lal Khattar on Sun-day inaugurated one projectand laid the foundation stonesof 12 projects amounting to Rs452.45 crore for the develop-ment of district Mahendra-garh.

On the occasion, Educa-tion and Tourism MinisterRam Bilas Sharma raised var-ious demands related to thedevelopment of the Mahen-dragarh Assembly Constituen-cy to which the Chief Ministersaid that the State Governmentwill make every possible ef-fort to fulfill all possible de-mands.

The inauguration and lay-ing of foundation stones of theprojects was done in the VikasRally organized on the occa-sion of inauguration of ‘KisanSamman Nidhi Yojna’ at vil-lage Khudana, district Mahen-dragarh.

In his address, the ChiefMinister said that the StateGovernment has carried outequitable development in allareas of the state. In order toprovide all types of facilitiesto the citizens, the State Gov-ernment has given a steadypace in the order of plannedform of development. As a re-

sult of various projects, devel-opment has been given newdirection in district Mahendra-garh. The development of IMT(Industrial Model Township)over 960 acres in village Khu-dana at a cost of Rs. 200 crorewill create jobs which willbring economic prosperity inthe area.

The Canal based waterdistribution scheme costing Rs124.43 crore will make avail-able adequate water to 25 vil-

lages and 09 dhanis of Satnaliblock of district Mahendra-garh. With the undergroundpipes irrigation water supplyscheme costing Rs. 23.83crore, water will be availableto total nine villages in the dis-trict for irrigation purposes.

Referring to the progress ofvarious development works inthe Mahendragarh district area,the Chief Minister said thatwork of lift irrigation system inthe area is on progress at a cost

of Rs. 143 crore. Reach of wa-ter has been ensured at 92 outof 96 tail end of canals in thedistrict. The construction of theIndo-Israel Center of Excel-lence for Vegetable at the costof Rs 10 crore is in progress inSundrah, Mahendragarh. Theconstruction work of collegebuildings at villages Unhaniand Chilro in Kanina andNizampur blocks, respectively,at the cost of Rs 12.12 crore, isin the final stages.

While stating this hereon Sunday, ADGP, Law andOrder, Mohd Akil said that awritten communication hasbeen issued to all Commis-sioners of Police, District Su-perintendents of Police, Super-intendents of Police, Railwaysand DCP Panchkula to take allpossible steps to ensure safetyand security of Kashmiri stu-dents, Kashmiri traders, otherpersons of Kashmiri origin andalong with other minorities inthe wake of the terrorist attackin Pulwama on February 14,2019. They were directed totake prompt and necessary ac-tion to prevent incidents of as-

sault, threat, social boycottsand such other egregious actsagainst them.

Mohd Akil said that theyhave also been directed to in-tensify collection of intelli-gence inputs and the intelli-gence machinery be sharp-ened. He said that deploymentof police force at strategic lo-cations be made with a view tomaintain peace, law and order,and harmony. "This should bedone in consultation with therespective Deputy Commis-sioners," he added. He saidthat Reserve Force in anti-riotgear be kept ready for move-ment at short notice and main-tain close co-ordination withthe State and Central Intelli-gence agencies. Govt to bear burdenof monthly incentivesfor workersCHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister,Mr. Manohar Lal announced that theHaryana Government will bear theamount of monthly share to be paid byworkers of the State under the PradhanMantri Shramjivi Mandhan Yojana. Apartfrom this, the kutcha roads of fields withwidth of 03 and 04 Karam up to 100 kmin each assembly constituency of thestate will be made pucca with bricks inthe next financial year.
