STAs Responsibilities:
Enters into cooperative agreements with host sitesDetermine the level of oversight and requirements that host sites must follow based on their State procurement rules and regulationsProvide guidelines for reimbursement procedures/requirements

Host Site Responsibilities:
Develop and conduct a STI that focuses on the transportation industry under the leadership of a Project Director
Conduct a residential or nonresidential STI with a minimum of 15 participants

Create a curriculum that introduces students to all modes of transportation, transportation’s role in everyday life, as well as career opportunities
Submit required documents and reports in a timely manner

HCR
allocates funds through the Chief Financial Officer to the division office for obligation to the STA

STI Curriculum consists of:
Academic Program includes exposure to all modes of transportation: land, air, water

the incorporation of safety
topics.
Enhancement Program
exposes students to methods and activities which improve study habits, promote academic achievement and fosters self-awareness.

Sports and Recreation Program
exposes students to sports and recreation, rules and regulations and encourages good sportsmanship.
Closing ProgramProject Directors are encouraged to plan and
host a Closing/Awards Program at the conclusion of the STI.
