Brothers & Co-workers: Exciting news, we received the VMA Shining Star award for Top Lodge 2019-20 400
to 800 members. This accomplishment is a reflection of all the hard work we do,
appreciating our current members, sponsoring new members and supporting
Mooseheart & Moosehaven and our Community. Great Job Moose Team!!!
We will be conducting serval fundraisers for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A
movie night October 17th, a donation drive for the entire month. Let’s come together
and help with the cure.
Membership and Retention is so important to our fraternity. As in the past, please
keep up with the brothers and coworkers that you have sponsored. Give them a call
to just to check on them. Let them know when you will be at the lodge. Invite them
to lunch or dinner or just small talk. Keep in touch
Little by little we as the lodge and chapter are trying to keep things as normal as we
can. We have had some activities going on and we will continue to have things going
on. Check out newsletter calendar, text blast and lodge website
manchestermoose.org for lunch and dinner specials and Lodge & Chapter activities.

ROCK STAR MOOSE:
Membership - Chairman Danny Stockdreher:
It was great to see so many people at our Labor
Day Picnic. A big thanks to all the LOOM and
WOTM who helped put it all together and make
it a great day for all who attended. We are
continuing to sign new members and making
progress towards this year’s quota of 83 new
members. Only 65 to go as of September 10,
2020. It is exciting to see some of our new members already sponsoring their friends
and family. That is where there is real opportunity to grow the lodge and bring in new
ideas and to make new friends. Please think about inviting friends and neighbors in for
lunch, dinner, and any of our events as qualified guests. The Halloween event on
Saturday, October 31st is a great opportunity to do just that.
Congratulations to Randy Lane whose name was chosen as the new Rock Star Moose.
We will be continuing the Rock Star drawings this year. It is so easy, sponsor a new
member into the LOOM and your name gets entered in a raffle for this prestigious title.
A name is drawn at each LOOM meeting. If you’re the lucky winner, your first drink on
each visit is free. (Up to $5.00) Now that is a great deal!
Our newest Short-Term Membership Campaign will be from September 1st. October 31st.
Here is how it works: for each new member sponsored into the LOOM, you receive
$20.00 in Moose Bucks. Sponsor two or more and for each additional one signed you
will get $20.00 in Moose Bucks and have your name entered into a raffle for a chance
to win a $200.00 Amazon Gift card. The winner will be drawn at our October 31st
Halloween event. We will also be continuing the “New Members Signing New Members
Campaign” from May 1st to October 31st. Winner gets a $250.00 Amazon gift card!
A warm welcome to the new members approved at the last couple of LOOM meetings. A
really big thank you to their sponsors as well. I hear we will approve a few more at our
next LOOM meeting September 21st. Please attend and get involved. Let’s keep it
going, sign new members, it helps support our children at Moose Heart and seniors at
Moose Haven. See you at the Lodge. - Danny

W.O.T.M. Women of the Moose
From the Desk of the Sr. Regent: Lisa.payne13@gmail.com 804-291-7137
Dear Co-Workers,
Happy Fall Y’all!! As we enter the fall season, some of our favorite things are
starting to arrive in the stores (i.e. Pumpkin Spice flavor, Halloween
decorations and of course my favorite – CHRISTMAS). October is a special
month for our Mooseheart/Moosehaven Committee as we celebrate
Christmas in October and the selling of the cradles. Our Christmas in October
dance will be October 10, 2020 with music by The Dealers Band. We hope
that you are able to get out of the house and enjoy a great evening with
friends and family.
With the excitement of the Christmas in October dance, it also comes with
heartbreak. Nancy Bello, who was the Mooseheart/Moosehaven Chairperson
passed way very unexpectedly on Tuesday September 8th. This dance was
very important to our Mooseheart/Moosehaven chairperson, and I for one, will
do everything in my power to make this a great event in her honor. I personally
cannot wait to celebrate the vision that she had for this event.
I am also extremely excited for our event on October 23, 2020 – we will be
hosting a Murder Mystery spaghetti dinner from 5:30 – 9 pm. Tickets are now
on sale for $10 per person.
While we enjoy the fall festivities, let us not forget that one of the key goals
that we have as a Chapter is Membership Retention. We need to keep the
members that we have, and we also need to sign more members. Share the
reasons behind why you joined the Moose and what keeps you coming back
again and again. We all have a Why for everything that we do, and I am pretty
sure that the majority of us joined for one reason and it has morphed into an
entirely different reason now. As we head into the holidays, we need to work
as a team to build each other up, not tear each other down. As the saying
goes… It Takes A Village! Let’s show everyone that we can be that village. Set
an example every time you walk into the Family Center whether it be for
dinner at the Social Quarters, a meeting in the Ballroom or just to stop by and
say Hey!!
I want to say a big congratulations to Ann Marie Carmody for winning the
Shining Star award – it is well deserved recognition for all her hard work and
dedication to the Moose family. Also, a congratulations to our Junior Graduate
Regent Christina Smith on receiving her Green Cap and overcoming an
exceedingly difficult final 3 months of her term.
Remember – we are all in this together so let’s make it work and be
#MooseProud!!

OVER 50 CLUB Meeting: Wed. Sept. 9th at 6:30 pm
804-739-1579 or 804-240-5789
"Hello!"
I Hope everyone is doing well, and we are still looking
forward to when we can meet again. In Sept. I called all
members of the "Over 50 Club" that I had numbers for,
and since the "Covid 19" still seems to be a “big threat”
to many, the board has decided to hold off meeting for
another month.
Hopefully our next meeting will be on Wednesday,
October 14th, at 6:30 pm. I will be calling again the first
part of October to see how everyone feels about meeting
by then. At our next meeting we will be having Pizza, so
no one has to bring any food!
If anyone gets sick or is in the hospital, please let me, Jo
Ann Spain (804-739-1579), or Ruth Lipford, President of
the over 50 Club (804-305-3741), know.
Whenever we meet again, dues will be due and are still
$2.50 per year. Please stay safe, and God Bless.
