•Giving USA: The Annual Report on Philanthropy is a yearly assessment on giving based on research conducted by the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy since 2000.

U.S. Philanthropy• Giving USA provides an estimate of

aggregate giving to all charitable organizations across the United States about 53 million households, approximately 16 million corporations that claim charitable deductions, over 1 million estates, and about 82,000 foundations. • These donations go to about 1.1

million IRS-registered charities, plus a conservative estimate of 300,000 American religious organizations.
