MAUModular Acquisition Unit

LIGHT WEIGHT AND COMPACT DATA

ACQUISITION AND PROCESSING.

The Modular Acquisition Unit (MAU) is a small, flexible, flange-mount line replace-

able unit developed for both analog and digital signal acquisition, processing and

recording applications.

Traditionally, these applications have been to support EUROCAE ED-112 crash

data recording systems, however the technology is very versatile and can be em-

ployed in other forms of data acquisition and processing.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Modular designThe MAU is a stackable ‘modular’ plat-

form which allows easy customisation

for specific aerospace applications.

Each module has a fixed footprint of

3.5 inch (90 mm) width and 3.2 inch (80

mm) depth.

The MAU modules perform functions

such as:

▶ Expanded signal acquisition capa-

bility (24 channels per module).

▶ Quick Access Data Recorder (QAR).

▶ Pitot-static pneumatic inputs.

▶ Wireless data transfer.
