Towards the end

wrapping up our
2013-14 projects
and planning our
activities for the
year ahead.
This March, we
are extra busy with one of our largest

On March 26-28, 8 Japanese companies

Japan Pavilion at GLOBE 2014. GLOBE
is one of the largest environmental con-
ference and trade shows in North Ameri-
ca, attracting 400 exhibiting companies
and 9,000 total participants from 60
countries at the last event in 2012.
In addition to providing an opportunity
for the Japanese companies to exhibit
their products and services at the trade
fair portion of the GLOBE summit, JET-
RO will also be organizing a Japan Sem-
inar and Networking Reception on
March 27 as part of our initiatives to
further showcase green technologies and
innovations from Japan.
JETRO will also be organizing pre-
arranged one-on-one business meetings
with the exhibiting Japanese attendees.
We invite Canadian companies to visit
the Japan Pavilion at GLOBE, discover
the new and innovative environment
technologies on show and meet with
representatives from the participating
Japanese companies. We look forward to
seeing these environmental solutions
contributing to a greener Canada in the
future.

SPN’s first pro-
ject in Japan, in
partnership with
Kokusai Land &
Development, is
1.7 MW rooftop
solar system on
top of a terminal processing plant in Fuji
City, next to the famous Mt. Fuji.
One of the main factors in SPN’s quick suc-
cess in Japan was finding a key Japanese
partner. Working with JETRO at the very
beginning was also extremely helpful .
Now SPN is actively expanding its opera-
tions in Japan and developing new custom-
ers.
It is shifting more resources to Japan and
hiring more local staff as Japan increasingly
becomes its most important target market.
