Before the billet is inserted into the hot e-trusion container,

a suitable lubricating sstem is positioned immediatel

ahead of the die in order to reduce frictional stresses.

!il and graphite are used at lower

temperature whereas at higher temperatures,

glass powder is used.

stainless steels, and tool steels are e-truded using

lubrication.
