Mandatos Afirmativos: Tú
Affirmative Commands: (You informal)
• Affirmative commands are used when you are telling someone to do something.
• Negative commands are used when you are telling someone NOT to do
something.
¡Vamos a empezar con mandatos afirmativos en la forma tú! These are commands
that are given in the tú form (when you are talking to someone you know).
The affirmative tú commands are formed the same way as the present tense él,
ella, Ud. form (3rd person singular).
➔ Drop the –ar. Add an –a.
o apagar = ¡Apaga! = Turn off!
o
➔ Drop the –er/-ir. And an –e.
o prender = ¡Prende! = Turn on!
o imprimir = ¡Imprime! = Print!
**Tú commands use the él, ella, usted form, NOT the tú form!**
