Goal template Goal Briefly describe what you are trying to achieve. A few examples of goals you could achieve through Yammer include: increasing staff’s knowledge about your department’s project raising staff’s awareness about and participation in one of our advocacy campaigns employee onboarding Scope Outline what is going to be in and out of scope to achieve your goal. For example, if your goal is to set up a group on Yammer to help new staff onboard, one item that is out of scope for the project would be to also use that group for ongoing staff development. Risks Outline the potential challenges that could prevent you from achieving your goal and your plans to solve/work around the challenges. Measurable success indicators Outline how and when you will measure if you are achieving your goal. For instance, if your goal is to increase staff participation in an advocacy campaign, you could measure post-campaign the number of staff who did participate. Benefits List and briefly outline the benefits that the success of your goal would contribute to your department, staff or the Society. For example, if your goal is to help employees onboard, one of the benefits of using Yammer for the project could be that compared to prior onboarding tactics, Yammer helped staff to more easily and rapidly get to know and develop relationships with their colleagues. Project lead, sponsor and stakeholders List those who are leading, sponsoring and responsible for some part of the project. Project plan Outline a brief plan for this project that includes: strategy for achieving goal launch date task list that details dates for when tasks should be completed and who is responsible for
each one communication to your team and other staff – before, during and after launch changes or updates required to Yammer or other internal systems other items, such as graphics Read and approved by: Project lead and sponsor
