SYLLABUS
SESSION 2016 - 17
Curriculum
Curriculum is a path that guide the students and teachers in reaching one common goal “learning”. This curriculum has been scientifically designed to guide all students irrespective of their individual strengths and weaknesses to achieve the objective of learning. The curriculum has been planned to include subject matter and learning experiences to help in evolution of a balanced personality. It is attempted through the curriculum that the child develops critical thinking, problem solving, interactive, logical and reasoning skills. The curriculum has been designed keeping in view the psychological requirements of students to make learning a happy experience through totality of experiences students are going to have in the class rooms , library, playground and interactions with teachers. The curriculum will also provide guidance to parents to strengthen the ideas and concepts taught in the school.
Suggestions to Parents
Encourage students to read. Reading is a gateway to all knowledge. Reading habit can be developed by encouraging children to read short stories, newspapers, picture books and whatever interests them. Encourage students to write. Writing makes students collect their thoughts and put them in logical sequence which strengthens the concepts and helps in remembering for longer periods. Encourage students to ask questions. Asking questions help students to connect with information and imagining more than the available information. Encourage students to communicate in English. Begin with understanding and using simple words, gestures and expressions.
We look forward to your suggestions that can help us make the learning activity more effective and purposeful.
