Being online is not enoughA website which cannot be found barely has the right to exist. The Duisenberg school of finance realised this as well: they depend on their website to reach potential students online from all over the world. Link Design was therefore asked to increase the findability of their website www.duisenbergschooloffinance.com. Initially, this was quickly established by refreshing the corporate site and promoting the URL to the target group. Besides this Link Design is creating thirteen landing pages (one per target country, with ‘local’ hosting), putting the site on several rankings and enlisted with national search engines. Duisenberg also joined social networks like Facebook and LinkedIn. Link Design alo created a promotional film for placement on sites like YouTube.. All with good results: more and more students from around the world are applying.
Project: design of the corporate website with content management system, creating 13 landing pages and project management for Search Engine Optimisation, including realisation.

Six-day event is the new classicFor the first time in the Netherlands an event was held to promote vocational education. The six-day event (from 9 till 15 October) was organised by the MBO Raad, together with Stichting Branchepromotie Beroepsonderwijs Nederland and MBO 2010. The event emphasized the importance of vocational education and craftsmanship for our society. Link Design was asked to develop the logo and visual identity for this event, including the website. There, visitors could vote for their favourite MBO Uitblinker 2009 (the star student), while students could sign up for winning a so-called Dream Internship. The site was updated hourly and generated a lot of traffic.
Project: design of visual identity and related items such as the website, invitations, program booklet, ads, event decoration and awards.
Creative workshopsEverything we do revolves around your image. We translate identity and personality to a differentiating market position: powerful, believable, different and of good quality. With one goal: improving and continuously increasing visibility of your organisation. We achieve this by conducting creative sessions: what are the themes you care for? what is your essence? which of your values are seen by your target market? This way we gain clear insight in the current and future position of your organisation. We make the personality of your organisation visible, tangible, measurable and workable. Then we translate this to the most appropriate, media-independent communication materials.

Project: restyle relatiemagazine GeoData.
GeoData welcomes the worldDue to their growing professionalism business magazines can compete with the popular magazines. The key is to create a good and credible magazine by incorporating keywords like open, critical and journalist-like communica-tion. This is also the basis for GeoData, the business magazine from Geodan. GeoData offers business information and shares know-ledge from within the organisation, but also brings the outside world inside. This became the starting point for the redesign of the magazine.

4 Child Helpline International
Millions of children around the world are abused, exploited and discriminated against on a daily basis. In 2007 child helplines across the world received around 11,4 million contacts (via phones, mobiles, the internet, postal services and directly working with children in the local community) from children and young people in need of crisis intervention, rehabilitation, counselling or someone to talk to. Ideally, a child helpline is accessible around the clock, free of cost and enables the caller to contact someone in an emergency situation. Child helplines also provide supportive information or directly link children to immediate rescue and safety.
Child Helpline International (CHI) is the global member network of child helplines, working to protect the rights of the child. We work in around 160 countries and were founded on the belief that children and young people not only have rights, but that they alone are the best individuals to identify their problems if they are equipped with the proper tools.
Our mission is to respond to children in need of care and protection and voice their concerns to policy- and decision-makers. When a child contacts a helpline he or she is asking to be heard, a right that is enshrined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Our aim is to have a child helpline in almost every country in the world by 2010.
“I haven’t got any friends, it’s so bad I just wish I could die”, the 9 year old boy said to the counsellor on the phone. Every morning, he felt ill and was scared of going to school. The child helpline spoke first to the school nurse who had been working with the caller. She explained his situation to his teachers. With the caller’s consent, the teacher asked one of the older, responsible boys to keep an eye on him, both on the school bus and in the play-ground. The caller later called the child helpline to say that the bullying had stopped, and a new boy had joined the school and they had become good friends. He thanked the counsellors and was happy he had had someone to call.

8 Child Helpline International
CHI has much to be proud of in our five years of existence. Like all dynamic and passionate small organisations, CHI faced challenges. While some still remain to be overcome, we have nonetheless grown into a well-recognised organisation. Many of our contacts are often surprised that we are only five years old. With over 11,4 million (2007) responded pleas for support made to child helplines via the phone, internet and postal services, child helplines aim to truly listen to and work towards real change for children all over the world.
The reason why child helplines are so important is simple: every child deserves a childhood. There are many reasons why children contact a child helpline. Some want to share a funny story with a trusted friend and others wish to raise concerns that bother them. Yet year after year abuse and violence remains one of the top three reasons globally. It is commonly said that child abuse casts a shadow the length of a lifetime. Often child abuse perpetuates itself in later years, with adults finding it impossible to erase the painful memories of their childhood. Instead of leading happy and healthy lives like millions of boys and girls, those children feel alone and live in fear of others. Helping to make the lives of children better is not one of the priorities of CHI, it is the ONLY priority.
With the dedication of child helpline members and CHI staff we have been able to launch four new child helplines in 2008, thereby ensuring that many more thousands of children are heard and helped. By supporting several trainings, workshops and peer exchanges CHI has responded to child helpline needs for relevant and sustainable development assistance.
In 2008, the network met several times for specialised trainings and the sharing of best practises. Special attention was given to the development of new statutes to update CHI’s governance structure. The development of a new CHI visual identity and slogan in 2008 reinforces the visibility of CHI among its stakeholders. We are greatly indebted to our child helpline members as they truly enable us to keep up the good work. Our many partners in 2008 have provided valuable support to CHI in the form of funding, expertise and advice and for that we thank them.
With every project undertaken, every donor proposal made, every conference attended and every child helpline launched, CHI believes that all individuals are entitled to respect…for all children grow up to be adults.
We hope you enjoy reading this year’s Annual Report.

Annual Report 2008 9
The year 2008 celebrated five years of CHI. Five years of growth and development of our role in working with partners to strengthen the child helpline network. It also marks the mid-term of CHI’s current strategic period where the emphasis is on consolidating core services and strengthening our internal monitoring system.
Reaching out to children with information and communication technologies (ICT) is at the very core of CHI’s programmes. CHI is a membership organisation representing ninety-five full members (operational child helplines) and twenty-nine associate members (those working with CHI to launch a new child helpline)
1. In this capacity, CHI has acted as a broker
between policymakers, the private sector and child develop-ment agencies on the one hand and member child helplines on the other. We believe in adding value to the child helplines within the network by creating opportunities to help improve the environment in which they work.
International partnerships enable CHI to reinforce its strategic focus, namely, to utilise child helplines, and thus new technologies, as a tool in child protection. In this context, the multi-stakeholder approach enables CHI’s members to reach out and protect those children most in need of care and protection. Some international bodies with which we work include:■ United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child
(UNCRC); ■ International Telecommunications Union (ITU); ■ United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF);
■ Telecom regulators, operators and ICT companies; ■ Child Rights Information Network (CRIN) ■ International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and
Neglect (ISPCAN)
At the regional level, we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the League of Arab States and developed a partnership with the MENA Child Protection Initiative. We hope to do the same with other bilateral and multilateral organisa-tions in each of the five regions where we work (Africa, Americas and the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, Europe and Middle-East and North Africa). It is of vital importance to have real and meaningful engagement with key stakeholders that can effect long-term systemic change for children and young people.
The overall objective of CHI is to contribute to Millennium Development Goal 8: Develop global partnerships for development, target 18: In cooperation with the private sector, make available the benefits of new technologies - especially information and communications technologies.
Consolidating core servicesThe sharing of knowledge and experiences remains critically important for a network of child helplines. Being such as a specialised service, we have experienced that the best expertise is often to be found within the network itself. As such, CHI’s Regional and International Consultations, thematic-based trainings and peer exchanges are the backbone of CHI’s activities. During 2008 we focused on strengthening these services and increasing the number available to members.

hun kind rechten of economie studeert. Helaas
functie toevallig hoogleraar of hoofddocent
universiteit. Nederland kennisland is ook het
mbo. We moeten alle functies op mbo-niveau
kunnen blijven bedienen met bijscholing.
Ook al ben je 30, 40 of 50: je bent nooit klaar
met je ontwikkeling. Dit is kwetsbaar in
Nederland. Onze premier is voorzitter van het
Innovatie platform. Dat gaat vooral over high
brow-onderzoek.
in mijn leven’. “Ik heb als wethouder veel
ruimte gekregen om het onderwijs verder te
brengen. Meer lesuren voor leerlingen die het
nodig hebben bijvoorbeeld. Ingewikkeld vond
in starheid.
opgeleid. Ik kies voor een sector die relevant
is.
stad. De bestuurlijke opgaaf van het mbo
is complex.

beschikbare communicatie middelen.
Juist jonge
mensen; want zij hebben innovatieve ideeën
over onderwijs en hun toekomst. En jongeren
uit het buitenland omdat Nederland geen eiland
is.
onze toekomst grens overschrijdend bepalen.”
perspectief bieden. We moeten ons afvragen in
welke maatschappij we onze kinderen willen
laten opgroeien.
wereld waarin wij leven.
Zij zullen
vanuit hun passie anderen meekrijgen voor het
realiseren van onze droom.”

CHI is a membership organisation representing ninety-five full members (operational child helplines) and twenty-nine associate members (those working with CHI to launch a new child helpline)1. In this capacity, CHI has acted as a broker between policymakers, the private sector and child develop-ment agencies on the one hand and member child helplines on the other.
(UNCRC); ■ International Telecommunications Union (ITU); ■ United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF);
■ Telecom regulators, operators and ICT companies; ■ Child Rights Information Network (CRIN) ■ International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and
Neglect (ISPCAN)
At the regional level, we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the League of Arab States and developed a partnership with the MENA Child Protection Initiative. We hope to do the same with other bilateral and multilateral organisa-tions in each of the five regions where we work (Africa, Americas and the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, Europe and Middle-East and North Africa). It is of vital importance to have real and meaningful engagement with key stakeholders that can effect long-term systemic change for children and young people.
The overall objective of CHI is to contribute to Millennium Development Goal 8: Develop global partnerships for development, target 18: In cooperation with the private sector, make available the benefits of new technologies - especially information and communications technologies.
Consolidating core servicesThe sharing of knowledge and experiences remains critically important for a network of child helplines. Being such as a specialised service, we have experienced that the best expertise is often to be found within the network itself. As such, CHI’s Regional and International Consultations, thematic-based trainings and peer exchanges are the backbone of CHI’s activities. During 2008 we focused on strengthening these services and increasing the number available to members.

hun kind rechten of economie studeert. Helaas
functie toevallig hoogleraar of hoofddocent
universiteit. Nederland kennisland is ook het
mbo. We moeten alle functies op mbo-niveau
kunnen blijven bedienen met bijscholing.
Ook al ben je 30, 40 of 50: je bent nooit klaar
met je ontwikkeling. Dit is kwetsbaar in
Nederland. Onze premier is voorzitter van het
Innovatie platform. Dat gaat vooral over high
brow-onderzoek.
in mijn leven’. “Ik heb als wethouder veel
ruimte gekregen om het onderwijs verder te
brengen. Meer lesuren voor leerlingen die het
nodig hebben bijvoorbeeld. Ingewikkeld vond
in starheid.
opgeleid. Ik kies voor een sector die relevant
is.
stad. De bestuurlijke opgaaf van het mbo
is complex.

beschikbare communicatie middelen.
Juist jonge
mensen; want zij hebben innovatieve ideeën
over onderwijs en hun toekomst. En jongeren
uit het buitenland omdat Nederland geen eiland
is.
onze toekomst grens overschrijdend bepalen.”
perspectief bieden. We moeten ons afvragen in
welke maatschappij we onze kinderen willen
laten opgroeien.

wereld waarin wij leven.
Zij zullen
vanuit hun passie anderen meekrijgen voor het
realiseren van onze droom.”

(UNCRC); ■ International Telecommunications Union (ITU); ■ United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF);
■ Telecom regulators, operators and ICT companies; ■ Child Rights Information Network (CRIN) ■ International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and
Neglect (ISPCAN)
At the regional level, we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the League of Arab States and developed a partnership with the MENA Child Protection Initiative. We hope to do the same with other bilateral and multilateral organisa-tions in each of the five regions where we work (Africa, Americas and the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, Europe and Middle-East and North Africa). It is of vital importance to have real and meaningful engagement with key stakeholders that can effect long-term systemic change for children and young people.
The overall objective of CHI is to contribute to Millennium Development Goal 8: Develop global partnerships for development, target 18: In cooperation with the private sector, make available the benefits of new technologies - especially information and communications technologies.
Consolidating core servicesThe sharing of knowledge and experiences remains critically important for a network of child helplines. Being such as a specialised service, we have experienced that the best expertise is often to be found within the network itself. As such, CHI’s Regional and International Consultations, thematic-based trainings and peer exchanges are the backbone of CHI’s activities. During 2008 we focused on strengthening these services and increasing the number available to members.

hun kind rechten of economie studeert. Helaas
functie toevallig hoogleraar of hoofddocent
universiteit. Nederland kennisland is ook het
mbo. We moeten alle functies op mbo-niveau
kunnen blijven bedienen met bijscholing.
Ook al ben je 30, 40 of 50: je bent nooit klaar
met je ontwikkeling. Dit is kwetsbaar in
Nederland. Onze premier is voorzitter van het
Innovatie platform. Dat gaat vooral over high
brow-onderzoek.
in mijn leven’. “Ik heb als wethouder veel
ruimte gekregen om het onderwijs verder te
brengen. Meer lesuren voor leerlingen die het
nodig hebben bijvoorbeeld. Ingewikkeld vond
in starheid.
opgeleid. Ik kies voor een sector die relevant
is.
stad. De bestuurlijke opgaaf van het mbo
is complex.

beschikbare communicatie middelen.
Juist jonge
mensen; want zij hebben innovatieve ideeën
over onderwijs en hun toekomst. En jongeren
uit het buitenland omdat Nederland geen eiland
is.
onze toekomst grens overschrijdend bepalen.”
perspectief bieden. We moeten ons afvragen in
welke maatschappij we onze kinderen willen
laten opgroeien.
wereld waarin wij leven.

(UNCRC); ■ International Telecommunications Union (ITU); ■ United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF);
■ Telecom regulators, operators and ICT companies; ■ Child Rights Information Network (CRIN) ■ International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and
Neglect (ISPCAN)
At the regional level, we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the League of Arab States and developed a partnership with the MENA Child Protection Initiative. We hope to do the same with other bilateral and multilateral organisa-tions in each of the five regions where we work (Africa, Americas and the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, Europe and Middle-East and North Africa). It is of vital importance to have real and meaningful engagement with key stakeholders that can effect long-term systemic change for children and young people.
The overall objective of CHI is to contribute to Millennium Development Goal 8: Develop global partnerships for development, target 18: In cooperation with the private sector, make available the benefits of new technologies - especially information and communications technologies.
Consolidating core servicesThe sharing of knowledge and experiences remains critically important for a network of child helplines. Being such as a specialised service, we have experienced that the best expertise is often to be found within the network itself. As such, CHI’s Regional and International Consultations, thematic-based trainings and peer exchanges are the backbone of CHI’s activities. During 2008 we focused on strengthening these services and increasing the number available to members.

hun kind rechten of economie studeert. Helaas
functie toevallig hoogleraar of hoofddocent
universiteit. Nederland kennisland is ook het
mbo. We moeten alle functies op mbo-niveau
kunnen blijven bedienen met bijscholing.
Ook al ben je 30, 40 of 50: je bent nooit klaar
met je ontwikkeling. Dit is kwetsbaar in
Nederland. Onze premier is voorzitter van het
Innovatie platform. Dat gaat vooral over high
brow-onderzoek.
in mijn leven’. “Ik heb als wethouder veel
ruimte gekregen om het onderwijs verder te
brengen. Meer lesuren voor leerlingen die het
nodig hebben bijvoorbeeld. Ingewikkeld vond
in starheid.
opgeleid. Ik kies voor een sector die relevant
is.
stad. De bestuurlijke opgaaf van het mbo
is complex.

beschikbare communicatie middelen.
Juist jonge
mensen; want zij hebben innovatieve ideeën
over onderwijs en hun toekomst. En jongeren
uit het buitenland omdat Nederland geen eiland
is.
onze toekomst grens overschrijdend bepalen.”
perspectief bieden. We moeten ons afvragen in
welke maatschappij we onze kinderen willen
laten opgroeien.
wereld waarin wij leven.

(UNCRC); ■ International Telecommunications Union (ITU); ■ United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF);
■ Telecom regulators, operators and ICT companies; ■ Child Rights Information Network (CRIN) ■ International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and
Neglect (ISPCAN)
At the regional level, we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the League of Arab States and developed a partnership with the MENA Child Protection Initiative. We hope to do the same with other bilateral and multilateral organisa-tions in each of the five regions where we work (Africa, Americas and the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, Europe and Middle-East and North Africa). It is of vital importance to have real and meaningful engagement with key stakeholders that can effect long-term systemic change for children and young people.
The overall objective of CHI is to contribute to Millennium Development Goal 8: Develop global partnerships for development, target 18: In cooperation with the private sector, make available the benefits of new technologies - especially information and communications technologies.
Consolidating core servicesThe sharing of knowledge and experiences remains critically important for a network of child helplines. Being such as a specialised service, we have experienced that the best expertise is often to be found within the network itself. As such, CHI’s Regional and International Consultations, thematic-based trainings and peer exchanges are the backbone of CHI’s activities. During 2008 we focused on strengthening these services and increasing the number available to members.

hun kind rechten of economie studeert. Helaas
functie toevallig hoogleraar of hoofddocent
universiteit. Nederland kennisland is ook het
mbo. We moeten alle functies op mbo-niveau
kunnen blijven bedienen met bijscholing.
Ook al ben je 30, 40 of 50: je bent nooit klaar
met je ontwikkeling. Dit is kwetsbaar in
Nederland. Onze premier is voorzitter van het
Innovatie platform. Dat gaat vooral over high
brow-onderzoek.
in mijn leven’. “Ik heb als wethouder veel
ruimte gekregen om het onderwijs verder te
brengen. Meer lesuren voor leerlingen die het
nodig hebben bijvoorbeeld. Ingewikkeld vond
in starheid.
opgeleid. Ik kies voor een sector die relevant
is.
stad. De bestuurlijke opgaaf van het mbo
is complex.

beschikbare communicatie middelen.
Juist jonge
mensen; want zij hebben innovatieve ideeën
over onderwijs en hun toekomst. En jongeren
uit het buitenland omdat Nederland geen eiland
is.
onze toekomst grens overschrijdend bepalen.”
perspectief bieden. We moeten ons afvragen in
welke maatschappij we onze kinderen willen
laten opgroeien.
wereld waarin wij leven.

(UNCRC); ■ International Telecommunications Union (ITU); ■ United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF);
■ Telecom regulators, operators and ICT companies; ■ Child Rights Information Network (CRIN) ■ International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and
Neglect (ISPCAN)
At the regional level, we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the League of Arab States and developed a partnership with the MENA Child Protection Initiative. We hope to do the same with other bilateral and multilateral organisa-tions in each of the five regions where we work (Africa, Americas and the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, Europe and Middle-East and North Africa). It is of vital importance to have real and meaningful engagement with key stakeholders that can effect long-term systemic change for children and young people.
The overall objective of CHI is to contribute to Millennium Development Goal 8: Develop global partnerships for development, target 18: In cooperation with the private sector, make available the benefits of new technologies - especially information and communications technologies.
Consolidating core servicesThe sharing of knowledge and experiences remains critically important for a network of child helplines. Being such as a specialised service, we have experienced that the best expertise is often to be found within the network itself. As such, CHI’s Regional and International Consultations, thematic-based trainings and peer exchanges are the backbone of CHI’s activities. During 2008 we focused on strengthening these services and increasing the number available to members.

hun kind rechten of economie studeert. Helaas
functie toevallig hoogleraar of hoofddocent
universiteit. Nederland kennisland is ook het
mbo. We moeten alle functies op mbo-niveau
kunnen blijven bedienen met bijscholing.
Ook al ben je 30, 40 of 50: je bent nooit klaar
met je ontwikkeling. Dit is kwetsbaar in
Nederland. Onze premier is voorzitter van het
Innovatie platform. Dat gaat vooral over high
brow-onderzoek.
in mijn leven’. “Ik heb als wethouder veel
ruimte gekregen om het onderwijs verder te
brengen. Meer lesuren voor leerlingen die het
nodig hebben bijvoorbeeld. Ingewikkeld vond
in starheid.
opgeleid. Ik kies voor een sector die relevant
is.
stad. De bestuurlijke opgaaf van het mbo
is complex.

beschikbare communicatie middelen.
Juist jonge
mensen; want zij hebben innovatieve ideeën
over onderwijs en hun toekomst. En jongeren
uit het buitenland omdat Nederland geen eiland
is.
onze toekomst grens overschrijdend bepalen.”
perspectief bieden. We moeten ons afvragen in
welke maatschappij we onze kinderen willen
laten opgroeien.
wereld waarin wij leven.

(UNCRC); ■ International Telecommunications Union (ITU); ■ United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF);
■ Telecom regulators, operators and ICT companies; ■ Child Rights Information Network (CRIN) ■ International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and
Neglect (ISPCAN)
At the regional level, we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the League of Arab States and developed a partnership with the MENA Child Protection Initiative. We hope to do the same with other bilateral and multilateral organisa-tions in each of the five regions where we work (Africa, Americas and the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, Europe and Middle-East and North Africa). It is of vital importance to have real and meaningful engagement with key stakeholders that can effect long-term systemic change for children and young people.
The overall objective of CHI is to contribute to Millennium Development Goal 8: Develop global partnerships for development, target 18: In cooperation with the private sector, make available the benefits of new technologies - especially information and communications technologies.
Consolidating core servicesThe sharing of knowledge and experiences remains critically important for a network of child helplines. Being such as a specialised service, we have experienced that the best expertise is often to be found within the network itself. As such, CHI’s Regional and International Consultations, thematic-based trainings and peer exchanges are the backbone of CHI’s activities. During 2008 we focused on strengthening these services and increasing the number available to members.

hun kind rechten of economie studeert. Helaas
functie toevallig hoogleraar of hoofddocent
universiteit. Nederland kennisland is ook het
mbo. We moeten alle functies op mbo-niveau
kunnen blijven bedienen met bijscholing.
Ook al ben je 30, 40 of 50: je bent nooit klaar
met je ontwikkeling. Dit is kwetsbaar in
Nederland. Onze premier is voorzitter van het
Innovatie platform. Dat gaat vooral over high
brow-onderzoek.
in mijn leven’. “Ik heb als wethouder veel
ruimte gekregen om het onderwijs verder te
brengen. Meer lesuren voor leerlingen die het
nodig hebben bijvoorbeeld. Ingewikkeld vond
in starheid.
opgeleid. Ik kies voor een sector die relevant
is.
stad. De bestuurlijke opgaaf van het mbo
is complex.

beschikbare communicatie middelen.
Juist jonge
mensen; want zij hebben innovatieve ideeën
over onderwijs en hun toekomst. En jongeren
uit het buitenland omdat Nederland geen eiland
is.
onze toekomst grens overschrijdend bepalen.”
perspectief bieden. We moeten ons afvragen in
welke maatschappij we onze kinderen willen
laten opgroeien.
wereld waarin wij leven.

(UNCRC); ■ International Telecommunications Union (ITU); ■ United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF);
■ Telecom regulators, operators and ICT companies; ■ Child Rights Information Network (CRIN) ■ International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and
Neglect (ISPCAN)
At the regional level, we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the League of Arab States and developed a partnership with the MENA Child Protection Initiative. We hope to do the same with other bilateral and multilateral organisa-tions in each of the five regions where we work (Africa, Americas and the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, Europe and Middle-East and North Africa). It is of vital importance to have real and meaningful engagement with key stakeholders that can effect long-term systemic change for children and young people.
The overall objective of CHI is to contribute to Millennium Development Goal 8: Develop global partnerships for development, target 18: In cooperation with the private sector, make available the benefits of new technologies - especially information and communications technologies.
Consolidating core servicesThe sharing of knowledge and experiences remains critically important for a network of child helplines. Being such as a specialised service, we have experienced that the best expertise is often to be found within the network itself. As such, CHI’s Regional and International Consultations, thematic-based trainings and peer exchanges are the backbone of CHI’s activities. During 2008 we focused on strengthening these services and increasing the number available to members.

hun kind rechten of economie studeert. Helaas
functie toevallig hoogleraar of hoofddocent
universiteit. Nederland kennisland is ook het
mbo. We moeten alle functies op mbo-niveau
kunnen blijven bedienen met bijscholing.
Ook al ben je 30, 40 of 50: je bent nooit klaar
met je ontwikkeling. Dit is kwetsbaar in
Nederland. Onze premier is voorzitter van het
Innovatie platform. Dat gaat vooral over high
brow-onderzoek.
in mijn leven’. “Ik heb als wethouder veel
ruimte gekregen om het onderwijs verder te
brengen. Meer lesuren voor leerlingen die het
nodig hebben bijvoorbeeld. Ingewikkeld vond
in starheid.
opgeleid. Ik kies voor een sector die relevant
is.
stad. De bestuurlijke opgaaf van het mbo
is complex.

beschikbare communicatie middelen.
Juist jonge
mensen; want zij hebben innovatieve ideeën
over onderwijs en hun toekomst. En jongeren
uit het buitenland omdat Nederland geen eiland
is.
onze toekomst grens overschrijdend bepalen.”
perspectief bieden. We moeten ons afvragen in
welke maatschappij we onze kinderen willen
laten opgroeien.
wereld waarin wij leven.
Zij zullen
vanuit hun passie anderen meekrijgen voor het
realiseren van onze droom.”
