SCIACCA

Sciacca enjoys a particular fascination springing forth from the blue limpid waters of the Mediterranean which break over the coast rich in

rocks, long sandy beaches, and the destination of the most exacting lovers of the sun and its marine life.

Sciacca is an essential stop in the itinerary of every tourist. Its indented coastline, the blue sea, the clear skies and the constant heat of the sun provide the background for the fine monuments which stand witness to the city’s long and troubled past.Numerous peoples have invaded the city in the centuries (Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans, Spaniards, Austrians etc.) and it is famous above all for its thermal waters and the natural caves and sudatorium on Mount Kronio.

Sciacca has been famous ever since ancient times owing to its fabulous geographical position.
