Winter Camp – Training ProgrammeThe present world demands holistic human beings who are technologically sound and emotionally balanced with a love for the nature andsociety. This is a part of the vision of our university. To materialize the vision of Vignan’s University, Training Cell has gone one step ahead in training students starting from B.Tech first year to final year which will be offered during semester breaks.

Second Years – Training Programmes

Name of the programme : Business English Certificate (BEC)

Objective of programme : To train students “Ready to take” Cambridge English: Business English Cer tificate (Vantage level) examinationfor better employment and career opportunities.

This programme mainly focuses on Business English Communication Skills which are highly required in the job market. The training sessionsare conducted in phases; Phase I- students are trained on the pattern of the BEC exam (reading and writing aspects and are introduced to thelistening part) during their regular PC Lab classes. Phase II- rigorous training will be provided by the external trainers to prepare for theexamination.

The training period : November 22, 2015 – December 13, 2015. Training timings : 8.30 am to 3.30 pm

Target Group : Students who have undergone Professional Communication Skills lab

Trainers : In-house + External trainers

Name of the programme : Art of Speaking

Object of the programme : To train students “Ready to speak confidently” in any situation be it interviews, conferences, seminars etc

Most students feel a degree of nervous apprehension when preparing to speak up or perform in front of a group. But, he/she needs effectivecommunication skills in the fast moving, world. A comprehensive training will be provided to students equipping them with confidence tospeak confidently in any situation.

The training period : November 22, 2015 – December 13, 2015. Training timings : 8.30 am to 3.30 pm

Target Group : All second year students Trainers : In-house + External trainers

Summer Camp – Training ProgrammeTop companies such as Infosys, Accenture, TCS, Wipro and CTS recruit thousands of fresh engineers every year and are using rigorousselection processes to shortlist suitable candidates from the large pool of applicants. The selection process includes written aptitude tests,Group Discussions, case studies, extempore, psychometric tests, personal interviews, etc. The companies are also increasingly emphasizingon recruiting candidates with good communication and presentation skills along with strong aptitude skills.

Name of the programme : Campus Recruitment Training (CRT)

Objective of the training : To prepare students industry ready 

Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) prepares the student for the selection procedures adopted by leading companies. The course will focuson four broad areas – Quantitative Ability, Reasoning Ability, Verbal Ability (including Vocabulary Building and Grammar Fundamentals) andCommunication Skills (including classes on Fundamentals in Communication Skills, classes on Group Discussions, Interview & ResumePreparations). Group Discussion and Mock Interview sessions include detailed feedback and areas of improvement.

The training will be provided during the semester break: May 20, 2016 – June 30, 2016.

Training timings : 8.30 am to 3.30 pm Target Group : All third year studentsTrainers : In-house + External trainers

Civil Service (IAS & IPS) training : Civil services is the most prestigious and covetous service in India. Vignan’s University is impar ting civilservices coaching in three courses which will be conducted at semester breaks besides Humanities (Minor) subjects.

Objective of the training : To prepare students for UPSC examination.

The training will be provided during the semester break : May 20, 2016 – June 30, 2016.

Training timings : 8.30 am to 3.30 pm Target Group : Registered Students

Trainers : In-house + External trainers
