DESCRIPTION

After the Kargil War, the BJP-led NDA Govt setup a Commission to Review the various aspects that led to Kargil War, the response of the Armed Forces, the response of the Civilian Authorities, Civil-Military Relations, Inter-services relationship, Intelligence Services set-up and their Integration with Armed Forces etc...The Committee was headed by the famous & highly respected Security Expert K Subrahmanyan and carried recommendations of extremely high value which were welcomed by the Security Establishment of the Country.Unfortunately, while few recommendations were put in place, with the change of the Govt, Congress-led UPA has practically refused to implement the recommendations of this report, thereby, weakening the entire National Security set-up of the Country.Must read for all.
