Hey there !

First, the Coronavirus. The storesare opening, hair salons are opening,but so far the Lounge at theMillennium Maxwell House Hotel isnot set to open. Somehow I can’tpicture that we will be allowed todance immediately as we havealways done in the past, so we needto be patient and wait until phase 2,or 3 or whichever it is that opens upthe Lounge and we can get backtogether.

In the meantime I continue to watchour fellow clubs and see what theyare doing. I have not heard about theLouisville dance that is set for July4th, but I wonder. I get emails fromthe Hilton Head Shag Club(HHICSC), and they have a Re-Upparty scheduled for June 10th, withtheir Summer Breeze partyscheduled for July 18th. In the nextparagraph they state that they areprepared to reschedule, so we’ll seehow this all turns out.

In the meantime I continue to keep intouch with the hotel – from the Foodand Beverage Manager, the BanquetManager, and even George, so assoon as I know …. …. … you willknow.

In the meantime I continue with myweekly emails, and our Music CityBop Club is alive and well – just on

hold for the moment. Kathy andrecently held our own Saturday nightdance, with wine and music – and alittle dancing, singing to “Don’tWorry Baby”. I know that Sharieand Bruce Goodman were dancing athome for their wedding anniversary– maybe we can all do that in thespirit of our club.

How is our contest coming along ?Remember from my last month’snewsletter article when I asked foryour favorite dance songs ? Give methe top five songs you have alwaysliked to dance to. You know, theones that call you out onto the dancefloor – the ones you sing to – thatsong where you stop talking toDonna Becker Mitchell and lookaround for your dance partner. YOUknow that song !

You already know the Fuller’s topfive dance songs … … what areyours ? Let me know by respondingto this email and I will let you allknow the list of songs before wemeet again. Maybe WE can developthe play list for our first dance nightback at Maxwell’s Lounge in theMillennium Maxwell House Hotel !Let’s see … .. 3 hours of songs atroughly 4 minutes each song is 45songs. Now you see how hard it canbe for Sue and Janie to put together aSaturday night list of songs. Nextyou need to mix it up – so many fastdances, then a few slow songs,

mixed in with some line dances, acouple of cha-cha’s and two or threewaltz’s – and don’t forget WestCoast dances and shag dances.

So far I have close to 50% of thesongs that we need – after discardingthe duplicates. I need some WestCoast, shag, and line dance songsfrom you. Don’t be shy !

Two weeks ago Michal Ann and Iheld a Monthly Membership Meeting– just for the officiers and DJ’s. Nottoo much new to discuss, but we didtalk about how we want to start upour first dance when we come back.Of course we’ll have a multi birthdayparty (but just one cake ). I askedabout a big “blow-out party”, but weall agreed to start it our slow and seehow everything develops.

You have noticed that we closed thepost office box in Goodlettsville.We did this to eliminate collectingthe information only to send it on toSandy Webster. We saved theClub’s money in moving our addressto Sandy Webster’s address, and
