President Position for 2012-13
• President-Elect for this Spring/President for 2012-13 has re-opened if anyone is interested in shadowing Kellie and learning about ESG
• Previous President Elect couldn't fulfill the time requirement because of prep courses for Optometry school

Graduation Honor Cords
• In order to get an honor cord- you MUST bring a check for $15 to the next meeting (February 7)!
• You must meet all of the point requirements by the end of the semester
• Your check will reserve your graduation cord- you will receive them at induction!
ESG Point Opportunity
• Students needed to teach small groups of seventh graders an array of health topics (diabetes, obesity, etc)- Sign up if you are interested after the meeting!

Research Point Opportunity
• Genomics Training Program with Dr. Chen
• The ultimate goal of this program is to promote awareness and understanding of the role genomics plays in health
• February 6 from 6-9 pm
•Members who attend will receive $25, 1 research point, and useful knowledge!
Be The Match Registry Drives
• February 8 (Wednesday) & February 23 (Thursday)
• It is MANDATORY that members work a one hour shift!
• Please make sure you sign up after the meeting- there are 8 spots for each one hour shift
• 1 teaching or service point
Focus Groups
• To improve the RESEARCH aspect of ESG
• The researchers are interested in identifying strategies for providing information about misconceptions without jeopardizing the likelihood of participants being willing to register.
Focus Groups
• At the next meeting, graduate officers will provide more information about focus groups so that you all will understand how it works
• Focus group discussions will be held at the chapter meeting on February 21 (1 research point)
• Participation is voluntary- other research point opportunities will be available if you choose not to participate

• We will need volunteers to transcribe the recordings of the focus group (1 service point)
• There will be a follow-up meeting (DATE TBA) to organize the data that will be presented at the April 3 meeting (1 research point)
